Well, I personally don't think so, but plenty of travellers must think we are.  Too many travelling girls charging well above market rates without the reviews to substantiate those rates is an insult to the good clients of this city.  I concede it's a free market economy, and people can run their lives and businesses any way they want, but I certainly don't have to participate.  Even some of the highly-regarded "legends" from other cities at least try to keep sort of close of market conditions.  And always, like the other guy says, buy local.  We have plenty of fantastic talent in all shapes, sizes, and colors right here in our own backyard. An old madam once told me that there is no such thing as a $$$$$ girl, but there are plenty of $$$$$ clients (allow for inflation, please).  Ciao and buon sera.

Very well said! The price/value ratio is something I think is considered whenever an entertainment choice is made. Makes one want to stick with a known commodity (sp?), especially at these prices!!  LOL

I learned the $$$ escorts the travel into Philly are not worth it for me. My 2 least favorable experiences were with traveling agencies provider both for the gift of $300. I will give South Florida Escorts some Kudos for a $250 donation for a couple of ladies that were GFE and very attractive(Christine and Jenna). Otherwise I go local. For $200 or less at Dan's and Bobbi's in Mount Laurel you can get good quality. Also for a little extra there are a couple of GFE independents in the South Jersey burbs. I work in Philly so it is easy to visit a traveler. But they better have good reviews and donation is less than $$$

If you think Philly is bad, check out the rates in Chicago.  $$$$ and to make it worse there are twice as many choices.

Well said. While I usually buy local, I did see a visiting lady last week. She was fantastic ans under $$$!! Located at a very upscale hotel in CC. She was a complete doll. I can't wait for her to come back. She was price in the same bracket as the local ladies. Just because they advertise the high $ doesn't mean we have to pay it. There are enough lovely ladies out there.

A high price doesn't always mean a good time.  A friend of mine saw a $$$$ just b4 Christmas and said it was totally uninspired.  I guess he was supposed to have been blown away  that she graced this city with her presence...Support your RELIABLE local girls.

I just want to say that I will be visiting Philly in a couple of weeks and I want to explain some things on this end or, I feel the need to.  First, I don't think Philly Gents are idiots at all.

I almost feel that because I am a traveling lady who is asking for a donation of $$$ for the first hour that I shouldn't even bother coming but, I know that once I get there you will love me as they did in Chicago.  I also know that the opinions expressed here are not everyone's opinion in Philly.  

With that said, I feel the need still to defend my donation.  First, I looked at the boards and the going donations for your area.  I looked at the reviews for the providers in that area and travleling ladies as well.  Value/service ratio.  I thought about my out of pocket expense to come and visit your fine city and wonderful gents.  I adjusted my donation to what I thought was reasonable.

I believe that there are a LOT of traveling ladies that are worth the donation of $$$ (of course I would say that huh) and, I love to welcome traveling ladies into our fine city.  Sometimes, I even learn new things when my regulars come back and visit me after seeing a traveling lady.  Variety truly is the spice of life.  Isn't that why most of us are here?  I know I love a diet with variety.

It's not easy to travel to a city you don't know and to start a brand new client/friend relationship.  I just got back from Chicago last week and had a wonderful time. However, it wasn't easy.  I did make some new friends and, I will certainly be going back.  I hope that I can see the Historical Philadelphia as well.  I did notice that my food expense was considerably more in Chicago than what I would pay here in Spokane.

So why trvel?  Because I am almost 39 yrs old and I have never been to the east side of the States.  I have never seen Philadelphia, New York, DC, Florida, SC, NC, Texas, New Mexico etc, etc.  My children are no longer in the home so, why not?

I am all for supporting local talent.
Maybe you can help by listing top three choices in your opinion.

It's because of people like them, who prefer to see a hog for $$ that most out of town providers view Philly as a second rate city.  These guys are a very vocal minority.  Please disregard whatever they say and come to Philly.

What might be top 3 providers for one guy might not be for another. It all dependes what you are looking for.

Just maybe a little confused Most gentlemen in major cities realize that a traveling escort has overhead which may include air travel, transportation to and from the airport, at least a 3 Star hotel, and all the preperations that go into looking your best while you are away. Depending on who you are, this overhead may run pretty high.

I agree that any area should support local talent. But some men do get tired of seeing the same girls of a certain caliber and welcome a different or new face as a treat. Everyone is different and everyone has their limits on what they will pay.

As for me, I am coming to Philly next week. I have been there before and love your city. I also have a special rate for TER members because they have been very good to me over the years. You see? We can give a little too

Well said, Jim. All around the Philly/SNJ area there's a wide range of gals to choose from. Everyone has their own tastes (in more ways than 1!!). Variety is the spice of life!!

Shucks folks like myself I have found the DC area to expensive. Many locals charge way too much. That is why I go to PA for fun (You got a friend in PA, lol). The locals that you all have are a incrediable bargin. They don't seem to have so many hangups and sillness.

I had a provider turn down a multi hour appointment. For so reason the DC area is a 1 hour town. Philly providers love multi hour appointments.

Alot of the DC providers who charge $$$ have been forced to travel to places like Chicago to justify their high prices. Some go on vacation to lower the supply of providers in order to drive prices up.

Recently in the past 18 months many new providers are showing up on the radar. The average price in the DC area is finally starting to come down.

The 2 travelings providers that were $$$ were the least attractive women have seen and were NOT GFE. Both of the their pictures on respective web sites were very flattering. They were marketed well by the agencies. One of them I first saw her I had the wrong girl. All local girls at Dan's or Bobbi's are young, attractive, slim and accomodating. Some of these girls are really sweet and are GFE for $$ or less. I wish I would gave on these girls a $ tip instead. Like I mentioned prior I have also met one of a couple really attractive girls traveling into Philly that were fantastic in bed for less $$$ and I tipped them well. Philly is more convient for me to hobby since I work there.

The original post was refering to NEW travellers with no reviews and no reputation, but plenty of bad attitude. You dear lady are well reviewed and have (from what I hear) a fantastic reputation.  He by no means was making a statement about all travellers, unlike our friend above really knows how to treat the ladies. There is a lady out there for all tastes , likes and budgets. To each thier own and enjoy. I hope you have a wonderful time in our great city.

Good day everyone, I have read through all the posting on this subject and here is my spin for what it is worth.  Some of the local talent have quite alot of overhead as well.  Nice apt. in the city is not cheap.  All the advertising involved and also phone service.  If these women are considerate of the time you have booked with them, they cannot get up every 5 min's to answer the phones to make appts.  What to speak of the cost of having a nice website.  Granted there are some providers out there that are not so ethical.  So it is the responsibility of the hobbist to post that.  As well to post good reviews for the providers that truley are accomidating. I have found that some hobbiest like to check out the reviews, However they do not like to post a review. I do understand the expense of the traveling women also.  It takes time to reshearch and the travel expenses are high.  I welcome the traveling women to our city and if anyone needs a reference, I will be happy to give that if I can.  I believe that we should all support one another and stop this cut throat mentality. In my opinion, Philly Lady and Joy's are to good providers that are not bait and switch and take into consideration the needs and wants of the hobbiest's.  Also just a footnote, the traveling girl Adrea that was spoken about.  I have personally spoken with her for references.  She is a very nice person and I have sent client's to her due to a scheduling problem.  They in turn have given me good feed back on her.  Good Day Ladies and Gentlemen:>)

I was born and raised in Philly and LOVE East Coast men!  Unfortunately, I love the weather in Southern California more!!!
However, I've been thinking of a trip back to visit my family and perhaps to also meet a few of you local Hobbyists (May/June?).  After reading the post by 'nickde', I'm wondering if I should even make the effort?  I would have the extra traveling expense of hotel accomodations and a rental car that I otherwise would not incur and if I can't expect my posted in-call donation, why would I even want to let anyone know I'm in town?  I happen to have the lowest Escort/Dinner Date (4hours) rate in my area and possibly in Philly as well (I haven't checked around).  Maybe someone would be interested in taking me out on the town rather than just a one-hour quickie?

You appear to have misunderstood just about everything in my original posting.  The ONLY thing I stated was that I resented was girls with no reviews, no one to vouch for them, or any verifiable track record who come to Phila and try to make enough to retire in a month or two. Yes, I'm well aware that travellers have expenses.  But just because you're a traveller, don't expect us to shell out more than the going rate for this city.

Just for the record, I stated that there were many wonderful local providers, and included in that is all the beauty that Joy has to offer.  If you can't comprehend the posting in the context in which it is written, then maybe you shouldn't throw stones.

I'm not complaining about established and respected providers like your self.  My ONLY objection was for unreviewed ( Note  - The operative word here is "UNREVIEWED" ) providers who are totally lacking any substantive reason why we should pay more than the going rates.  Nowhere does that posting say anything negative about an established provider, who has reviews, charging a premium rate, or deny that you can cover hotel, airfare, and rental car expenses. Please, re-read it.  Just the mention of rates seems to be like pouring salt in a wound, but I definitely did NOT berate providers with a good track record.
