I was listening to a local provider talk about the state of the hobby here in the philly market... She was complaining about the drain on her wallet from places like CL and visiting providers...

one of my questions is to you guys... how many of you prefer travelling gals to locals or some iteration of travelling, local and perhaps CL girls...

it also seems like 350+ is the going rate for those who travel... Why?

and for you ladies... how many of you wish the ladies from elswhere would just go away? or how much has CL cut into your income?

I ask because I think about phillys rep as a bad place to travel, but it seems we are being blessed with more and more ladies from other places... It also seems that there are more and more CL girls pushing $$ an hour vs the $$$ or more by local women...

like I said it is a question that I am guessing not many local women would want to touch with a ten foot pole... you are welcome to pm me if you prefer not to go public.

We are getting some outstanding traveliing ladies through our city lately... so, our rep can't be that bad... and your right, you probably will not get answers to your question...

There are a number of different factors in determining a hobbyist's preference.  One is cost, since traveling providers tend to be more expensive, one reason I prefer locals.

Also, I think there are three kinds of mongers - those that prefer finding a lady or two they like and seeing them as regulars, those that prefer variety and rarely see a lady more than 2 or 3 times, and those that like a mix.  Local providers would appeal more to those who want a regular provider, and traveling providers probably appeal more to those who like variety and have covered the local selection pretty well.

I assume traveling ladies ask about 350 to include the cost of travel, air fare, hotel, etc.

for some reason though it may seem stupid sometimes you feel like you want to see the traveling girl b/c you don't know when she is going to be back and you can see the local girl anytime

Lastly, I avoid CL- too risky, plus I find you get what you pay for- if girl is only $$ she is either not that good or seeing way too many clients

The assumption that a girl charging $$ is seeing more clients than someone charging $$$ is a guess, and a bad guess at that.  Other factors such as location, number of hours the girl wants to work, physical attractiveness, screening process, organization and skills as far as advertising, past performance, and many other things contribute to how many sessions a provider performs.  Cost is only one, and in my opinion, probably not the most important.  I would guess that how much money the girl NEEDS at any given time has more of an impact than the others combined.    


That myth that you're getting a girl with fewer sessions because she charges more is silly.  And all it does is keep prices up unnecessarily.

I think Eric hit the nail right on the head, well as far as I'm concerned. I fall into Monger 1 catagory. I used to see several traveling ladies. Over the past 2 years or so, I can probably count the traveling ladies on one hand. It's usually just not convenient to schedule 4-6 weeks in advace anymore. On the other hand, I have a few favorite local ladies, and a few I am hoping to meet in the future. Plus, I can usually schedule with a day or 2 notice and not have to worry about 4-6 weeks in advance.

Right, Eric. I like the locals, also, because I like to have a rotation of regulars, so that I can book at shorter notice. They are much more willing to adjust to my schedule.

The girl charging 200 a day in phili is seeing 10 a day simply because thats the market in phili. 200 will have a much higher demand in phili.  There are other cities where guys wont even concider a girl under 250, they stay away from the girls you describe so eloquently...

What exactly is wrong with a consumer having an honest, circumspect view of a service and deciding what theyre willing to spend and who thus to call. What you REALLY fear is dissent to arbitrary policies taking hold. Honestly, there are 500.00 hr women, been to em. As for the idea that NY, LA, and chicago (perhaps Boston), cities I assume you refer too, that guys will not see women under $$.5 is no less preposterous.  More women are seen under that than over.  Also, Real estate may be higher, restaurants may be higher, but poon, well there's no reason for that to be higher.  I have lived 15 years between Boston and NY and there are plenty of nice reasonable hotels in both, so don't give me the "hotel and expenses are way more line".  By way of example, the beauty of NY is you can see an artist like Denzel perform for free (central park), 35 bucks (off, off broadway), or 400 beans (broadway), and I've seem him in all three.  So, you wanna place the gal in an expensive place and trade on the egos of the "bonus boys"  who take pride in how much they spend?  thats your benefit.  Just don't give any nonsense here that some how the pussy is different, fort knox-ish, and requires more coinage.

I, personally, prefer to meet local ladies and start a "relationship" with ones that I click with.  I like to be comfortable with a lady that I have already met and have had good experiences with.  Sometimes I don't trust the travellers, but to be honest... I don't want to "fall in love" with a traveller, only to never have her come back to Philly again.  I would prefer to find the right local provider for me and continue to see her until I need a change.  just my $.02
I totally understand the need for travellers and god bless you guys that see them... sometimes, my little head gets the best of me and pulls me over to one.
As for the price... I always told myself to never go above $$.5 for a good service.  I now find myself in the $$$ range.  I am willing to pay the extra .5 for superior service with all the acronyms that I enjoy.  Would I prefer to be sticking to the $$.5, sure!!  But, sometimes the extra .5 is well worth it.  depends on the lady.
