Why do we get hit with higher bills that NY?  Their hotel rates are more, meals are more, cabs are more there, yet we are expected to pay more here.  Are we subsidizing Manhattan trips, or just thinking with the wrong head?  No examples, I don't have the time to start a war (today, but I might next week).

If it is more expensive it must be better, right. Perrier @ $5 bottle is much better than water from the 'fridge. P.T. Barnum said it best.

I have to agree nick...rates seem to be going up and isn't translating into better service either.

My guess...and it's just that, a guess.  And yes, this will piss off all the Philly crew, but though I live here now, I was born and raised in NYC, and worked there twice in my career.

Anyway, like it or not, NYC is more fun.  A traveller has lots more to do and see in the Big Apple than they do in Philly.  I'm not being sarcastic or judgemental...I actually like Philly a lot.  But I can see where from a let's say Kansas City travelling provider's point of view, she'd rather visit NYC than the City of Brotherly whatever.

Despite it all, still think rates SHOULD NOT be higher here than NYC.  One way to remedy that:  DON'T see travelling providers who charge more here than in NY.  Far as I know, the law of supply and demand hasn't been repealed, so eventually they'll either stop coming here, or lower there prices to be in line with NY, and more importantly the prices charged in our local market.

In our zest to get more travelling providers to come here, guys here have resorted to begging the girls to come here and in turn many have been more than willing to pay higher prices.  

The girls read the boards and realize that guys here are more than willing to pay more, even to girls that have no reviews or spotty reviews at best.  

I don't understand the mentality that we have to pay more and kiss the girls ass to make them feel comfortable enough to come here....  And if you voice an honest opinion that not in line with the herd mentality here, you are most likely going to get trampled by the ass kissing "hobbyist" here that feel that you can't offer a critical but honest opinion.  

Not only will you get trampled on by the "ass kissing hobbyist" that you refer to, but he quickly contacts his lap dogs and they jump down your throat as well.  Hey, WTF, one more time is like spitting in the ocean. It's always the same guys, with the same tired lines.  Let 'em yap.
