Any recommendations about providers who are open to taking people new to the hobby?  It's sort of complicated figuring out how exactly to start seeing a provider in a number of ways.  Thanks in advance.

You could try an AMP until you lose the jitters and get more confidence, for one. I'm sure the newbie board has lots of other advice, including getting references, etc.

Second thing you should do is sign up for P411. Verification is relatively painless and you'll be able to find lots of great local newbie friendly providers.

Good luck, be safe and have fun.
