I've notice ads for a spate (three is a spate, right?) young providers  who are ALL natural, which means that they do not shave nor trim the sacred triangle, their legs or underarms.  Think hirsute young woman.

Not trimming the hedges is not revolutionary, but not shaving legs and pits is reverting to the old European model where shaving was not the norm, but that was 50 years ago.

I am sure others have noticed this phenomena but have been too discreet to comment.  I don't have a discreet filter so I will put it out there: Are we on the verge of revolution in female grooming, or is this just a blip on the grooming radar screen?  And if it is a trend, does it come from the civvie world, or Mars?

And if you will indulge me as the OP, I don't think we need to discuss the aesthetics of this choice in grooming. Those comments will be purely subjective and will range from "OMG this is terrible" to "Love hairy women" to "WTF, do you think I care?"

I just had a memory of what a stubbly woman's leg feels like.  Sheesh!

I vote a blip on the grooming radar.  This might be a lifestyle choice for the new hipster woman but like most trends will pass out of favor quickly....(i hope)

BTW, this comes from Venus.  Men are from Mars, Women from Venus.

I'm with you on this one.  We used to ride horses, but now most of us now drive a car, even though people used to warn about your brain blowing up if you went faster than 20 mile per hour or whatever.

Bare labia are just functionally so much better.  The front bush is becoming decorative, with landing strips, hearts, etc.

As far as leg hair, that seems to be a caucasian genetic thing, as Asian women hardly have any.   Leg hair is not a great look on a woman, especially with stockings, which squash the hair down into wormy wiggles.

Aesthetic standards march on, and even though there is a retro trend every once in a while, there's usually no going back to corsets or bustiers.

Well, you just about covered it, didn't you?  I certainly didn't expect a dissertation quality reply, but I'm glad to receive it. And I am happy to debate you on this interesting but purely subjective topic.

Fundamentally,  think our views are shaped by our experiences and perspectives.  You say that bare pubes have become "pedestrian" (although I read that noble Roman women shaved) but you have never had to tongue your way through the brambles of a thick 1970's bush to find that elusive clitoris.  After dealing with that you might find a bare peach wonderfully efficient, if not beautiful. And many young women, or so I read, find hair to be unsanitary.  Whether they feel that way after two or more decades of shaving and waxing, who knows?

I will give you this.  The lack of pubic hair does mean a decrease in that good muskiness that is so enticing.  I have to laugh when I read reviews that say how good a girl's woo hoo tastes.  The reality is that between shaving and washing between sessions (hopefully), most providers' pusses have no discernible odors or taste. In other words, they lack character, sort of like overly processed meats.  Dry aging improves steaks; does dry aging improve vaginas? The last time I experienced pleasingly pungent vagina, I suspect that the provider had just returned from the gym and had rushed through her preparations. The result was that she smelled and tasted like a woman, which I found very exciting. And, no, I won't dime her out.

Here is the wild card: porn.  Porn is the biggest influence on sexual practices in the world. There were really no shaved pusses and penises until porn made them popular.  COF was probably unheard of and anal was practiced only be a tiny minority of couples, but Porn made them mainstream.  If porn goes back to hair, so goes the nation.  You can quote me on that

Please, give me some credit. We call it sodomy in honor of the destroyed biblical city and Greek in honor of Alexander's armies. So I know that it is an ancient practice. And I am certain that there are probably cave
drawings showing cave dwellers jissing on the face of cave chicks. But my point is that porn, with its need for "money shots" and variety have made those practices more mainstream.

Similarly shaved genitals are in vogue largely because the porn industry made the calculation that bare pussies sold more videos. Now that is the norm in the hobby, and my initial question was whether the tide has turned. Since only a few folks responded I guess we won't know from this thread. Ah, the pity.

Maybe that's why not so many responses? I myself have been shaving it all off since I was 18 or 19 years old. I was with a man who was in his mid 20s and he handed me a razor and said " Baby go shave yourself  ". LOL I had kept things nice and trim during those times but he was into bare. So I shaved it all off and have been doing so ever since. For me it's just easier and the men I date also prefer it that way.

I personally prefer it bare down there or a little strip is nice. As for legs I prefer shaved and arm pits shaved. I have nothing against anyone that wants to be wild and free and full of hair. But the one thing that does personally bother me is when women have facial hair and they aren't waxing. I am fine with a furry kitty but not a mustache on a woman.

I don't think  women with hair is a trend at the moment. It's just that a thing. There are still many women who don't shave down there. There Re cultures where women don't shave.

If a woman is clean and takes care of herself she isn't going to smell any worse then a woman without any hair anywhere. That's just absurd to think so.

And I think Tori Valentine basically covered it all!

I will say that tons of civvie women in the US don't shave anywhere, and it is only rare to see women with body hair in magazines, media, mainstream porn, and the hobby.  I have loved my natural body hair since I started hitting puberty and explored my sexuality in my late teens with my body hair still on my body.  I did start shaving when I became a provider because I made a false assumption that I would not find clients if I kept my natural body hair, that it would make me a "freak", that only rare/extreme fetishists would be interested, etc.

For me, the decision to go all-natural was about a return to what felt good for my body and to what makes sense in the context of my civvie life.  I love to go skinny dipping with my friends in nature and all my friends keep their natural body hair, so I did not enjoy being shaved and bare next to all of them and truly longed to have my natural hair back.  My girlfriends are pretty open-minded and know what I do got a living and when they used to ask me how I liked it, I used to say that the escorting was easy and natural for me but the hardest part was shaving off my body hair.  Now that I have eliminated that, and realized that plenty of men enjoy women with natural body hair, I realize that what's a trend is the shaving.  It's perfectly natural for men to enjoy women with body hair when given the option.  My consistently-full schedule when I tour the country is definitely proof enough of that for me.

I *do* have civvie friends who would love to be providers but who will never be willing to shave off their natural hair.  So now that I know that the market will support women like this in the industry, I do encourage women to try it.  So I won't be surprised if you continue to see more women with hair venturing into this side of the industry as they see more examples of hairy women who are wildly successful.

Just for reference, in both California and Europe, it's very common for women to keep all of their natural body hair.  That's TODAY, not 50 years ago.  ;)

Well, hairy girls are certainly articulate.  You did a great job in explaining your reasons for keeping your body hair but this is fundamentally a personal choice issue and either you like body hair or you don't. I recently saw a photo taken in the late '60's based on the model's hairstyle, which was a classic "beaver" shot.  The carpet, which did not match the blonde drapes, was dark thick, with wide spread border and forbiddingly dense.  Even though the model was gorgeous, the opulent hairiness of her groin was a turn off to me, although I know many respond others are excited by that look.

Maybe it is very common in California (Isn't everything common in CA?) and in Europe, only a small fraction of the women I know do not shave in some form or manner.  Out of 60 or so providers, all shaved their legs and underarms and only two maintained hair on their genitals, and even that was trimmed.  But if you and Ms. Valentine are flush with customers, then there is a niche  market for that look, and you will continue to be stars on the escort circuit
