What are they, like 1 for 8000 with runners in scoring position? Very frustrating loss. I know that the Phillies can beat this team. But they gotta start playing like a TEAM. A wasted "okay" effort from Myers and the other big question on my mind ---> Where are you, Jimmy Rollins?

Ah well, back at 'em on Saturday.

I don't mind the 1 for 28 RISP hitting as much as all the strikeouts with a runner on third and one out - this is inexcusable!!!  A well-placed ground ball or fly ball here and there, which obviously are not hits, would have changed the game last night.  The Phils gift-wrapped it for the Rays, but the next three are here, and I like the Phillies chances to right the ship and win the series.

I promise to let him go and that robot replica of him and go!

Damn we look like crap out there. Is it a test to see how many freakin' men we can leave on base!

Lets go Phillies~ Play ball like men!

by winning one out of two in Tampa it's now a best of 5 series! The Phillies now have taken over home field advantage with 3 out of the remaining 5 at Citizens Bank Park

...And the Phillies would be hard-pressed to do worse in those clutch situations than they have in splitting those first two games on the road.  The half-full examination is that any time you open a series on the road the objective is to take one and the Phils did that.  The half-empty story would be that they let an opportunity to essentially put the thing away by winning a winnable game slip away.  A think a bit more of the former is more accurate than the latter.

No argument there Carlton. They've gone through these situational hitting slumps all season.Damn! Most of those lost scoring opportunities didn't even require a base hit...just putting the ball in play would have sufficed!

But I think the Fightins win tonight. Not sure why I feel this way (maybe some good home cookin?), but just my intuition. If I were a gambler, I'd lay a big bet on the Phillies tonight.
