Recently I flirted with a lass on the Gen Discussion board.  She seemed nice - and I was intrigued.  I also viewed her website and found her to be the "type I like"!  Clearly I was not the only Philly gent to like her as I know others who liked her as well.

I PM'd her to ask if she was coming to philly...  Hoping to attract what appeared to be a SUPER provider.  She e-mails me back with  "...was just in Philly and the trip cost more than it earned. I have decided not to add Philly to my tour route..." WTF!

First, I never knew that she was in philly - no Eros add, no announcement on TER - NOTHING! (well - one post in over 300 days but not about a visit).  And she complains that we did not respond to her?  Common ladies - you have to help us out here.

Gents - please make some suggestions as to how you wish to be notified that a lady is gonna tour our city!  me?  I am fine with a post on this board and a like to their web site about 1-2 weeks in advance.

Hey, what I don't understand, if you flirted with her as well as others, why at least you guys didn't know she was in town. Clearly, in this case, it is to her account.
For example, a well known provider from FL has kept me informed of her visits 3-4 wks ahead of time and we have been trying to find a time. She coming 4  wks from now and already almost booked up.

I agree, a 2 week ahead post on this board is all that I would like to see. You can't make an appt if you don't know someone is here.

I can tell you this-Phily is one of the best places for a girl to visit.  I was there for the first time about a month ago and I had a blast!  I was super busy and you guys up there are just true gentlemen!  I posted on TER and the other board. Plus EROS and I was booked a month in advance.

And I plan to be back there the week of Nov. 12th.

I hear Philly has a rep, but I have trouble finding out when certain providers are coming.  Most recently Ciera Sage famouse PSE, she posted an eros add 1 day before a 3 day visit.  Ok so if I did not look for 2 days, I missed out.
Give some frickin notice.  The Brickel Agency seems to give 2-3weeks notice.  I mean besides the money factor, (you know not buying Eagles tickets that week, etc.) Need to plan a night out.  I find I end up booking last minute all the time because I have little notice to go off of.

I think a post on the boad at least 1-2 weeks in advance is needed

Your ad methodology is great, IMO. And, although not needed in your case for your last visit, a couple reminder posts two weeks and one week before arriving helps a great deal. Many others do similarly and I've heard they have had successful visits as well.  At least that's what they told me!

...as you and I discussed. Doesn't make any sense that she would travel (many hours by air) and not post or advertise. So in a way it doesn't make sense. But what she told you is how stories get started (or perpetuate), especially among those predisposed to believe it.

Modified - to answer your question BSD - in my case, seeing an ad or post three to four weeks ahead of time gives me time to figure out if and how I can work my calendar, if so inclined.  And then another post two weeks and then one week ahead of the visit in case my plans have or can be changed. Ads and/or posts a few days beforehand just don't work for me. Just my two cents.

I've been doing my best to give you guys a great reputation. I tell all of my girlfriends that Philly is my favorite place to visit. Enjoy Pauline, I know I do! She has a heart of gold.

The bottom line is, this is a two way street.  We need and want these ladies as much as they need and want us.  Make the appointments and stick to them!  Treat them like the ladies that they are and we'll all be happy.  We were doing so well for a while.  Let's not slip.  Philly will rise to the occasion, ladies(pun intended), we party!

Any and every provider knows Philly is the worst city to tour.  I hope someday it changes but why should a girl go to philly and lose money on cheap guys or guys who play games by NCNS?  It is so much easier to go to DC or Nyc where the guys don't do that!  If a girl visits Philly I think guys should have to pay twice the amount of her regular rate if they ever want to bring quality back!

Philly can't change because and never will, it has become the city of No calls and No shows and Rip offs.  

Seriously - this was from a lady I would have scheduled a multi hour appointment with.  She did not even post a note - send an e-mail or PM or ad on Eros saying that she was coming... and somehow she just expected guys to show up?  Gimme a break.

To top that off, I had another VERY WELL KNOWN provider short me one night.... and I - cause I wanted more time with her, requested some time at noon - the next day- she said sure - as she was complaining about loosing money on her Philly trip... only the next day= SHE FAILED TO SHOW!  

Again, Gimme a break.

finally, notice - I post with my handle - do not hide behind an alias.... I do not play games.... I'm either gonna make the apointment or I'm not gonna book.  If I show, and there is upselling or B&S - I'm otta there.  If you are a B&S or upsell operation - they that is good.... cheap?  yea - guess I am cheap when I won't pay for goods I didn't order.

Tell the 77 visitors who posted an ad on Eros that it's the worst city.  Or the total of 158 ads on Eros Philadelphia within which are the 77 visitor ads.

The logic is incredibly astute - "guys should pay twice the amount of regular rate...." please do enlighten us, oh alias, how that will help matters.  You really think guys will even make appointments with a rate twice normal?

You hope someday it changes. Everyone hopes someday it changes - then proceed to blame everyone else - and then say "Philly can't change and never will."

While Eros Guide has doubled its staff "to make doing business easier", their customer service has slipped into the crap zone. Requesting that an ad be placed in a given city a week in advance to facilitate pre-booking can result in the ad not being placed until a provider is already in the city for a couple days! I personally have dealt with so many horrible experiences with Eros lately that they are giving me free advertising when/if I decide to put my ads back up with them. (In case you didn't notice, I have removed my ads in protest of the horrendous service...And I needed a vacation)

Then there are some ladies who have extensive repeat clientele built up over years of escorting (through agencies or indie) who request her presence in a certain city, make appts with her and then flake when the day finally comes.

Another scenario is that some ladies (myself included) have toured to certain cities to work with an agency, only to find that the agency misrepresented itself to a fraudulent/dangerous extent and must suddenly come up with Plan B in order to break even.

Finally, some ladies are unfamiliar with TER, feel intimidated by its vastness, or are just recently becoming intimate with its workings. Therefore they may not always have known how to notify people of an impending visit. You are always welcome to help a girl out by providing gentle guidance to ladies you perceive as unfamiliar with Indie practices.

I have experienced each scenario, and I hope you can understand how some times it is not ALL ABOUT YOU, the hobbyist. It's not as if we create difficulties on purpose, just to keep you from meeting us!! We, as humble providers, do experience difficulties you generally know nothing about. And in the spirit of keeping the mood gracious and festive, we often choose not to indulge in every boring detail of our woeful circumstances.

I hope this enlightens you to the inner frustrations we, ourselves, deal with over this same issue.
