In my experience you have added significant value to multiple discussions on things like Korean culture and language. If memory serves, you have helped me out a couple of times on those topics. Your general emphasis on adding actual value and helping people out rather than attention posting and attacking others excludes you from being considered a troll. My earlier comment about trolls is exclusively about those who qualify as such. These are people whose posts (at least 9 out of 10 of them approximately) are about feeding their own egos and/or attacking others. Every now and then a troll tries to redeem himself  by actually adding value to the forum. But they can’t keep it up. So those will generally only be about 1 out of 10 or less of their total posts. Our two most prolific troll posters are easily spotted by looking for this kind of troll behavior.

 
As I’ve said before, internet trolls are known to be defined by three dominant characteristics: psychopathy, narcissism, and sadism. Yes, this has been studied. Because of these personality traits, truth is only useful  to trolls when it serves them in getting the attention they so desperately need. The only thing better than getting attention for an internet troll is the opportunity to inflict abuse on someone.else.
