Try the Riverridge area, It's 10 Minutes from the heart of NO, the rent is average, the area is one of the safest in NO, There are a great number of apt/condos in the area, most are gated entry. I lived at walnutcreek 795 for a two bedroom, had 3 pools, quite, fireplace. Worth a shot, If you live in the city rent will almost double, parking sucks.
