Which verification site is most widely used in this area?

RS2K is primarily used in the midwest, but Date-Check and P411 are both good on the west coast. The upside with Date-Check is that you get a lifetime membership. P411 has a recurring annual fee. I belong to both, and have used both. They've both treated me well.

There is no reason not to make use of as many validation facilities as you can

How does one get on the white list?

When you have a session with a provider in good standing on TER, you can ask them to whitelist you.

to my knowledge, the whitelist is the only validation service available where the providers themselves verify you.

many providers will ask for references from at least one other known provider. The white list accomplishes this with the click of a mouse.

P411 is getting more widely excepted for the west coast providers.  And althought the whitelist here in ter is a good solid thumbs up from a provider.  Not many ladies (not as many as could) actually use the TER whitelist to verify guys.  And I was only able to whitelist guys who had actually written a review of me,  for the longest time.
