I seriously doubt this is true.  The OC media (tv, radio, OC Register, OC Weekly) would be all over this story, if true.  Maybe in LA something like this doesn't get coverage, but in OC it would be well covered.

This article was in the OC Register on Friday, Sept. 14th.  Don't know if it is related or not. I have cut and pasted the article as it was written.

Police are investigating what they call the "suspicious" death of a 21-year-old woman who was found Sunday night at a motel, police said today.

Melissia Ann Gonzalez of Sacramento was found at 11:47 p.m. at Days Inn Maingate Hotel, 620 W. Orangewood Ave., near Harbor Boulevard after police received a call reporting a deceased person, said Rick Martinez of the Anaheim Police Department.

The cause of death is pending autopsy results, Martinez said.

Gonzalez was found unresponsive in a room by an employee. She was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

Martinez said it's unknown why Gonzalez was in town, but it's believed she was here on business.

I know for a fact a few months ago a CL provider was found dead in a motel room in Tustin and it never was covered by the OC media. Maybe the media in OC is not being informed, or perhaps the families of the girls are asking it not to be disclosed, although I don't think that would stop them.

I did a search on Google and because the woman who died had an unusual name spelling (Mellisia) I got Melissa Ann Gonzalez results as well and found this fascinating one
