I am interested in higher-end providers, but unless you have provider references, they won't even respond.  I understand their need for security; but..

I am willing to give background information on myself.
I am a retired professional, affluent older newbie.

Can you give me the names (e-mail if private) of some willing, higher -end providers in S California that will be willing to meet with a fun loving first timer.

I would like to have some fun in the company of a sophisticated, fun loving and beautiful provider

while I am building my resume (so to speak)

I agree this can be a catch 22 sometimes.  Joining one of the many pre-screening reference services may possibly help.  Since you are looking for high end providers, the cost of these services is relatively cheap.  As for myself I joined Preferred411.com.  At the time I joined it was $60/year but I think they are going to raise the annual fees to $69/year.  You fill out an online questionnaire and they do some background checking and once approved, it is a good leverage to give to the ladies to show you are OK.  You can look through the providers that advertise directly in Preferred411 and cross check them against the extensive review search capabilities offered by TER.  Many providers have listings on both TER and Preferred411.  Also, you need to just keep trying with the many providers you can find on the Review pages of TER.  Eventually some will be willing to get together with you.  You can also suggest meeting them initially in a public place like a hotel bar or coffee shop for instance just so they can feel safe get to know you a bit better first.
