Two interesting posts by you, back to back.  Let's start with the most important, not getting ripped off.  

First, you provide some circumstantial evidence that you're not using this site properly.  If you would scroll down just a bit on this board, you'd find that Chennin is available in the OC and I think she's doing incall in Huntington Beach.  My point is, using TER is a great way to avoid all sorts of problems,  Accordingly I suggest the following:

1) Upgrade to a VIP membership!  Either write a couple of reviews or spring for the paid membership, it's worth every penny.  Otherwise you will be limited in the steps you can take to protect yourself.

2) Use it!  The search engines here are quite user friendly so with just a little bit of practice, you can do enough research to find what you're looking for.

3) Only see girls who have at least x number of reviews. I put "x"  because that will also vary with the recency of the reviews, whether the reviews are from people who have posted a number of reviews themselves and, obviously, the quality of the reviews.  This is also a good basic way to protect yourself from LE.

4) If it's in your budget, consider some of the porn stars.  It's been my experience that incorporating the above suggestions with the selection of a PS is the best way to go. Once again, with a little research, you can find some who are quite reasonably priced and they seem to be less inclined to rip people off.  Probably because they have bigger reputations to protect.  

There's more suggestions to be found here on the various discussion boards but I've found that doing those basics has minimized the unpleasant experiences.  I've been in and out of this for over five years now and have had a great time!  And lessee, this site has also been responsible for my second marriage (one of the unpleasant experiences!), two relationships with well known pornstars and the development of friendships with a number of other girls in the industry.
