1.a) Sure. It is a big leap. But guys who become gun-shy of this kind of thing tend to see it everywhere.
1.b) CGuy didn't make any sweeping assumptions about anything. MY sweeping assumptions were about what was going on in CGuy's mind. What kind of person she is or isn't, I couldn't say. I haven't bothered to read whatever it was that CGuy read. In your parlance of memes: Look at all the fucks I give (feel free to imagine your choice of: spiderman, stephen fry, or Maria spinning in the foothills of Austria, etc...). 2) RE: sweeping generalizations and your inability to understand them.Humans are good at filling in gaps based on limited information. It is one of our most effective survival mechanisms and we do it all the time. ALL THE TIME. Generalizations have a bad connotation with some people, but they are inevitable, and indeed quite useful most of the time. The only real problem with making generalizations is when people refuse to ignore evidence to the contrary. Here, we have no evidence to the contrary. Hence the words MAY and MIGHT appear throughout my post of complete guesswork - guesswork not about her, but about CincinnatiGuy and what he MAY think about what her statements MIGHT indicate. The funniest part is that my guesses are way more reasonable than his actual reason seems to be: I don't want to take another shower. Because showers are unpleasant and tiresome? Maybe he wears a piece? However, I would guess that you are also high-maintenance based on how long it takes you to get ready (2+ hours, in spite of the 1 minute it takes you to wash your hair). You are sensitive to this label because you know that it carries some pejorative weight and you resist what you see as the wholesale compression of your complex personality into such a limited space with a largely negative categorization. But only an idiot thinks they can really KNOW what kind of person you are based on some words on a screen, some pictures, and some of your stated preferences. But such is life on the interwebs. The necessary chemistry of real-life is removed from the equation and often times people forget that pictures aren't very good representations of how a person really looks, words on a screen are divorced from tone and wholly susceptible to prejudices, and that anyone of sufficient intelligence is far too complex to really ever understand completely, and certainly not meeting them half-way. So... we fill in the gaps. 3) It wouldn't be her honesty that would have indicated anything. It would be her attitude. Her honesty is no more laudable than the girls who state a preference for incall or outcall, or a preference for the color of clients' skins. Giving her props for her honesty seems bizarre. Honesty doesn't cost her anything and in fact is probably better for her. Why would she lie? Most guys wouldn't care and this instance, with this ONE dude - Cincinnatiguy - is probably the only instance where it has ever come up. I would say that if she's going to react strongly to it, she actually has a greater than average motivation to explicitly state her preference. It's just self-interest and, in this context, neither worthy of praise nor of snarling derision. Her "honesty", in and of itself, is neither. As you say: BFD. TL;DR:

I'm visiting Cleveland tomorrow (first time) for work, and I'm doing what research I can but would like some help on research. I am in Texas now, and another board is much more popular there than TER, but it is worthless in Cleveland. I'm assuming that BP is a hot-spot for LE, so I won't use that. Eros is a hit-or-miss resource, but I'll defer to you guys if its the best thing to use for Cleveland. Any Cleveland Classics that I should look at? Or agencies? I'm staying downtown, and would like to host or go to an incall fairly close by if possible. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks guys.

P411 or Date-check if you can. They are both more reliable options than BP or Eros. Eros in Ohio isn't too bad (just my opinion) but of course, do your homework. Cross reference with reviews and pm reviewers to get any additional info you may seek. I'm in Columbus and travel to Cincy every once in awhile but rarely make it up to Cleveland so I'm not gonna be able to drop any names. Given your short time frame (gonna be here tomorrow?) I'm thinking getting screened on short notice would be your biggest obstacle. Try an agency? City Girls always has beautiful ladies in Cleveland. Good luck on your search.
Downtown, probably the best that I know of is Chase

Allene Diamond, Izabela Laska, and Page/Nichole.
Those 5 are the top ladies in Cleveland.
I could suggest others if needed.

But... I don't think we'd be a good pairing. I won't get into the reasons why.
What, can't afford her?
But... I don't think we'd be a good pairing. I won't get into the reasons why.
She obviously hates the smell of cigarette smoke (perfectly understandable). Would you want to be up close and personal with someone who smelled like something you hate? Doubt it.
To her credit, she does see guys who are on the thick side weight-wise. It's nice of her. I'm down to around 180 +/-. If my back and neck weren't screwed up I'd hit the gym. ![]()

Hair is made of all kinds of proteins and fats that trap scents, good and bad. How do you remove those scents/odors? By washing it, duh.
Besides, it takes me literally one minute to wash my hair, and mine is halfway down my back. Don't be lazy.

No, I don't. At all. Laziness has everything to do with it. If you think taking one extra minute in the shower to wash your hair is "overkill," you are lazy. Plain and simple. Hell, I'm a smoker and I get what she's saying.
You nitpick the weirdest shit, man.

When I go see a lady, I'm clean, my clothes are freshly washed, I wear deodorant, and I have a bottle of mouthwash.
My Lord, isn't that enough?

many years ago a provider i was visited often also hated cigarette smoke, much in the same way, i smoke but also respected her wishes, and trust me had a much netter time for it
This guy gets it.
What part of "she can't stand the smell of cigarette smoke" are you missing here? If you smoke a cigarette on your way to see her, your hair is going to smell like it. Do you want her to be repulsed by the smell of your hair just because you couldn't be bothered to take one extra minute (at the most) to shampoo? That's just rude.

Can we agree to disagree? ![]()
Her website specifically says "I am very sensitive to the smell of cigarette smoke." VERY. SENSITIVE. While a relatively negligible smell of smoke may not bother you, a cigarette or two on the way to see her would make your hair smell repulsive to her. She's being honest when she mentions that, not picky. Would you prefer that she not mention anything about it ahead of time, only to go through the appointment disgusted? That's not cool.
My point is this: you might consider it "overkill" to remove all traces of that smell, but it's really a pretty simple request. One extra minute of time is not a big enough deal to call her "picky." The girl has standards, and I applaud her for that.
Can we agree to disagree?
However, I think that I understand Cinguy's underlying point... Her ardent attitude toward smoking MIGHT indicate that her personality is of a certain type. The kind that reacts strongly to things being marginally not the way they want them to be. After all, many people hate the smell of smoke, but can and will tolerate it.
High-maintenance is the pejorative term most often used for people who can't handle bumps in the road. Once you've spent any time with someone like that, you start to notice the little signs of that "type" of person and become wary of it. Only assholes pretend to like high-maintenance, and only fools put up with it. I know a guy who married one, and she is the bane of his life. You cannot make her happy. And so... people avoid her.
As a contrast, there exists the kind of person who can roll with things not being "just so". Someone who won't freak out about things when they aren't exactly the way they want them to be all the time (or indeed, most of the time).
In other words, someone who is laid back, adaptable and empathetic. Being laid back and having a good sense of humor are two traits which are universally appealing. They are in direct contrast with the type of person she MAY be, based on this seemingly innocuous request.
Perhaps not. I don't know her, and what kind of person she actually may be is irrelevant to my point. But that little nit may be what Cincinnatiguy was picking up on. And it might be an accurate assessment.
That's reeeeeeally jumping to conclusions. We all have our pet peeves, and it's unfair to draw the conclusion that someone is high maintenance just because they're honest about such things.
Some people just have a particularly sensitive sense of smell. I'm one of them (for example, if my roommates cook bacon, I'll get an immediate migraine purely because it grosses me out that badly). Others can't stand really bright lights or heavy bass. Some folks can't stand spicy food or being tickled. Doesn't make them high maintenance, it just means that they react more strongly to certain stimuli.
So the girl can't stand the smell of cigarette smoke. BFD. I will never understand how people can make these sweeping generalizations about others based on such minor things.
I think it is good of her to mention it, since it probably means the smell has a pretty significant impact on her enjoyment (and thus her enthusiasm, and thus your enjoyment). If it bothers her that much, you should know about it, and you can make an informed decision.

Both of you have valid points. If it's an allergy, then she should say she's allergic. I can certainly respect that. I don't care for perfume at all, but I'm not going around asking women to take another shower because of it.
I'm no Dr. Phil, but if she's even mildly OCD, she's in the wrong business.
I have my favorite bookmarks in the Firefox bookmark bar and in my wakeup haze, I clicked on the board link instead of the ESPN link.
I thought it was amusing. Sure didn't warrant the BS though.
I feel very strongly on certain subjects, and this is one of them.

I do find it a bit hippocritical that you freely express this strong feeling when in your favor...but not allow someone to express a strong preference for the state of their work environment. I'd say the person tending toward high-maintenance (I know...not the way you characterized things...that was thegoodsh) is not Chase Cameron.
In the end...your opinions and preferences are valid...as is your choice not to patronize CC's services if you don't care for or otherwise doubt the likelihood of good service/connection. But, you do tend to be over-sensitive and hyper-critical...when you're not throwing out vague passive-aggressive comments like your entrance into this thread:
But... I don't think we'd be a good pairing. I won't get into the reasons why.

Thanks for the analysis, Dr. Phil. The passive-aggressive bit about how long it takes me to get ready for an appointment was really eye-opening.
