How many clients, john's, etc... do you think there are out there?
Anybody care to guess?

I saw a review where a guy was ripped off. It was obvious, and that advertiser has been posting those same stolen pics for at least 6 months. I've never seen any info on her that I recall, but google image search tells you all you need to know.

So it brings up the question: How many suckers are there out there at any given time? Because I think the ads are posted once a day, and I think they cost $10-20 per day. How many times a day does she rip guys off?

I could guess, based on the number of active users on various sites (not that I'm going to actually count them). But I would have to think there is a larger number of guys who operate outside the info-sharing communities, than inside.

I guess a more answerable question would be: How many unique client's does the average provider have in a given year?

You're right, there are probably countless outside of the info-sharing sites.

As for your question, how inclusive are we talking re: provider base? Are we just talking what's facilitated via the internet?

I guess I assumed that most of the providers here gained the majority(or all) of their clients via the internet. Are there other ways? Referrals?

But for the data, I would say counting all the unique clients, regardless of how they became clients.

I was thinking more along the lines of street walkers, whatever the term is for the girls who make rounds in Vegas casinos, etc. I hadn't even thought about referrals, but yeah that too.

I'm just going to take a stab in the dark as far as the original question goes and say maybe a couple hundred? On average, of course. And that's assuming we're being all-inclusive in terms of high/low/moderate volume, method of gaining clients, etc.

I think there are a lot of guys out there who don't know about this or other similar sites. They probably started at the AMPS until they got shut down and then turned to BP and don't know any better.  Clearly, the BP model works because the ads are there every day

about bp when you say ad's cost $10-20 a day.....
There's alot out there, & they just want it right then so they dont think, they just start calling ads until someone picks up .......When I was new, I used to get over 30 calls a day & not make a single appt from any of them. They get on the phone & they actually get the appt. but then they ask are you sure I'm getting full service (click, I hang up), (then that guy goes & tells other guys dont call her she's not full service) so they keep calling down the list until they get someone to say yes I will fuck you suck you all for $100buxs & they go to that appt. those guys don't have the right to say they got ripped off, cuz no real girl is going to talk like that. (& these guys have been on ter & other sites but somehow they think cuz they aren't a newbie & the girl has been around that it's ok to talk to her explicitly)
I honestly don't blame the girls, cuz it's in everyone's ad "Don't talk explicit" these guys aren't verified they won't give any info to be verified & they call from a throw away phone.
If they ask for full service & show up & find they are only getting what is full service under Ohiolaw, it's what they asked for cuz the girl is thinking why would he ask for illegal services over her phone? Is says not to ask for anything illegal in her ad, so why would she think any different? Why would she aggree to do illegal stuff with someone she doesn't know
I personally just hang up on these guys But I can finally understand why these girls go ahead & see them & rip them off, they've wasted her time, she's thinks they are informants.
Cuz if you don't give these guys appointments, they will try to ruin your name!!! I've hung up on several of them who then threaten me.
I've yelled at a couple after I've reached the 10th caller & it's still the same question, are you full service.
Anyways, that's how those guys get ripped off. If they were smart & just scheduled with the girl & didn't ask a bunch of explicit questions, then they wud get the appt. with a good girl.
I think when they start asking some stupid questions that some girls see it as an opportunity cuz they think he's a sucker, cuz if he was a member of a site he would know how to schedule. I don't like dealing with the drama nor my time wasted, I set aside time for 2 appointments.
Now the girls who just take the money & run, I think guys are afraid to post the truth about them in case of retaliation (cuz I've actually had guys tell me they've seen the same girl for a yr then all of a sudden she shorts the hour or steals money)

... by asking those questions.

The odds are against finding a good prospect on BP without doing research - based on the number of scams and just lousy providers on BP. Randomly pick an add and you are far more likely to have a bad time than a good one. But, I can see how they'd make things worse with ignorance in how to schedule.

Regarding most everything else you talk about - I can only shake my head. :(

For example: Look at the most recent review where some guy went to see "Ashely" from BP. TER ID: 238793.

Now, I know she's a long-time rip-off because of other information sharing sites. But this guy didn't. I am not currently VIP, so I can't read how bad things were - but in the opening section he tells me all I need to know.

You saying he had it coming because he "asked the wrong questions", or even the fact that he found her on backpage is a rather jaded way to look at the situation, and the world in general. It also ignores the intent of "Ashley" to deceive guys into coming to see her.

He got scammed by old photos. Or fake photos. It amounts to the same thing. If she opens the door and looks different than her photos - he should walk away, and he owes her nothing - but how many of the guys who come see her actually do that? I can't think it's that many. Ashley posts her ads, knowing full-well that if they actually knew what she looked like and how her "service" would be, they'd never call in the first place.

I don't think you can say what she did is right, even if I agreed with you that it is inevitable. I certainly don't think that he had it coming to him because he "wasted her time".

I understand that you have to deal with crazy people who contact you. That is apparently unavoidable if you use BP. But, I don't excuse the crazy assholes who are rude to you just because you made the "mistake" of being on BP. I don't think you should disparage the guys who get ripped off out of ignorance, or excuse the thieves who take advantage of them.

...

Let's assume he called her up and had a 3 minute conversation. After that conversation, he sets up a time to come see her. Now, do you really mean to say that 3 minutes, in order to make a "SALE", is him wasting her time?

That's wrong. Other guys who opted to NOT come see here might have "wasted" her time - but not this guy. He talked to her for a few minutes, or a dozen texts, and then he is going to become her customer. She should be happy - that is what she wanted and all it cost her was a few minutes, and being polite and coherent (as much as she may or may not have been).

And that tiny fraction of time with each potential customer adds up to very little. So even if you were getting 30 calls a day that amounted to NOTHING and 2 that came to see you, you'd still be way better off than ANY other sales position anywhere.

When Ashley answers the phone (and presumably starts her stop-watch to make sure this guy isn't just another "time wasting asshole"), she's ignoring a very clear FACT of reality: He doesn't have to come see her.
He could go see any girl.
He could jerk off and put that money into something that's actually worth it.
He could go out and invest the time an energy necessary to get sex for "free".

So this 3 minutes - regardless of how clumsy or ignorantly he attempts to verify what he's going to get, is an opportunity to make a sale. Not a burden. Not a waste of time. Because each provider and each potential client are unique agents - not some unified mass deserving of your contempt.

You put the $$$ on your services. You made the choice to enter the market. You are a sales person. I'm not devaluing you or your services by comparing you to all other businesses. I didn't put a value on anything. You did the minute you decided that your time was worth X and your attention was worth Y.

TL, DR;
I don't think that you should lump all the client's into the same boat and just assume that rip-offs only happen to guys who don't know how to schedule, or commit other faux pas out of ignorance.

I also don't think you can justify the rip-off of anyone by saying they should have been more knowledgeable, or more careful. While it is undeniably foolish of them to make the mistakes they make, it doesn't validate the thief's actions.
