for some reason my questions were getting rejected, they say they looked like an ad, Is it okay to post a pic with your question?

...will post anything in order to get their name up on the board.  Hobbyists (and TER) can see through this and it could actually hurt rather than help.

You'd be better off posting a link to your ad or website rather than plastering a pic in your post - it's more subtle.

When you have reviews, it's not necessary to post a link to your website in your post.  Your post will say: "See my TER reviews."  Guys can click that and go to your profile and website if they find your post interesting.

First is on your local discussion board during "photo theme day"; usually these are on Mon/Wed/Sat but check your local board - these are not Ads just a pic of you following the theme (e.g. that day's theme may be about "stockings")

Second is on your local Ad board, every 7 days you can post your Ad (link) and you can also upload a pic of you (must be a link to the pic). Check out the Self-Help Center and follow the "Ad posting guidelines"
