What's the proper etiquette for using a provider as a reference? I'll be seeing a different provider (maybe providerS) this coming week but hadn't asked the last one for permission to use her as a reference so it didn't seem correct to use her when scheduling with the one I called today. She was happy with my Date-check ID and TER handle but I want to be prepared in the future if I run into someone who absolutely has to have a reference. Is it okay to ask at the end of the session or later by email or phone?

Perfectly ok to ask at the end of a session. I've even had some providers tell me before they left the room that I could use them as a reference if I wanted to.

Definitely be thoughtful and ask first before you use her information for reference purposes.

It is always best to be repesctful and ask the provider if you may use her as a reference. Alot of the ladies are not reference friendly, so be theGent that you are midboss and ask. It would'nt hurt baby. Asking either way should be fine. (Just my.02)

Have Fun & Good Luck There,

I will ask my friends if I may use them for a reference, and only after they say "Yes" will I give their contact information to the lady I'm trying to see.

No need getting the reference all ready if the new lady cannot fit into your schedule.  Saves on reference requests.

Also, ask a few ladies to provide references for you, not just asking the same lady over and over.

Also, references should be ladies you've seen recently, typically within the last year, unless it's one of your ATFs and you haven't travelled to see her recently.  She would probably have no issue with it being longer than a year....

Good luck!
