Newbie - FAQ

Moderated for four months and counting. How long does it last?...regular_smile

I am finally asking this question...I have been on this board since August and typically post ads on my local board. However, I have posted a few times on the General Board, as well as the Newbie Board, but it tends to take a long time to show my posts (sometimes two days; sometimes not until I resubmit the same post a few days later - my fastest results have been with the Newbie Board). I have read the newbie manual and understand all new members will be moderated. I am just wondering if this length in time of moderation is typical and if there is something I should be aware of. If not, I will surely bring my concern to admin. Thanks for the help. If nothing else, having my posts show sooner will allow readers who may not typically see them the chance to enjoy them! :) Thanks, Giamarie

the concern. I must be doing something right. Thanks.

Moderation and VIP status have nothing to do with each other.  We mods have no way of knowing who is a VIP.

and my name doesn't appear in red on this board because I am embarrassed!!!

Come Feb, it will be 2 years that I have had the privilege of being The Newbie Mod.  I also moderate the 3 Canadian boards, and as of yesterday, my home board - Phoenix (I say my home, I'm still living in England, but I am from Phoenix, and will likely return there one day).

Ah I didn’t see it ..didn’t look lol. I spent 6 years in Scottsdale it most defiantly is where my heart is I to plan on returning  within the next few years. ^ years of not  owning a pair of closed toe shoes or jeans ..God I miss that. Congratulations’ on your 2 yr mark.

All I had to do was PM my regional board moderator asking to be unmoderated.  Since I had a history of drama-free posts, within 24 hours my status changed to unmoderated.

and never thought about it too much..Jazz always saw that my posts showed up but I seldom posted on my Local board...Those posts would be outdated and off topic and everyone would be on to the next subject before they showed up.

Once you show by posting often that you will follow the rules you will become unmoderated..

If you have been posting often go ahead and ask the moderator of that board..It could be the general board, newbie board or your local..Once unmoderated by any board it goes for all
