Moderated for four months and counting. How long does it last?...

I am finally asking this question...I have been on this board since August and typically post ads on my local board. However, I have posted a few times on the General Board, as well as the Newbie Board, but it tends to take a long time to show my posts (sometimes two days; sometimes not until I resubmit the same post a few days later - my fastest results have been with the Newbie Board). I have read the newbie manual and understand all new members will be moderated. I am just wondering if this length in time of moderation is typical and if there is something I should be aware of. If not, I will surely bring my concern to admin. Thanks for the help. If nothing else, having my posts show sooner will allow readers who may not typically see them the chance to enjoy them!
