I'm looking for a gfe/pse in the NJ/NY metro area.

I'm a new hobbyist so I have no references.

Should I go independent/agency?

How will I be seen without references?

Any help is appreciated

providers require references....

If you are brand new and never seen a provider before, I would suggest open an account with Date-Check or P411.  One you are verified by these verification sites, a lot more providers will be comfortable seeing you..  Some of the providers also advertize as newbie friendly. You can seek them out... Also, once the session is over, and provided everything goes well, you can politely ask them to give you a nod on these sites.. Most will be willing to do so....

Have fun...

You can also have the provider verify you thru your employer. Not as scary as it sounds. She calls, asks for you, if someone asks her who she is, she says "its Mary from Mr. Smith's doctors office." You pick up, "hello, Mr Smith", she hangs up the phone. Some ladies will want to call after work hours and get your v/m to make sure its you. Just make sure its a highly reviewed and established provider. They will know what to do to be discreet and you can work all that out with her before she calls.

I have a business with a partner....very small office.  P411 was a snap.  VERY professional.  You have to remember, this is their livelihood (providing the service they do).  They have a vested interest in keeping your information safe and sound.  And as many have mentioned, it's in Canada which is a bonus.

One other item I've heard mentioned.  Even if a provider doesn't advertise as "newbie friendly," they still might be.  You can always contact and ask:  "I am a newbie so I don't currently have any provider references, but I have been verified and are on P411."  Something like that.

Also, don't get discouraged if it takes a while to get your first appointment.  And don't take it personally if you don't always hear back.  And don't pester a lady day after day with e-mail after e-mail.  I'd send one and wait.  Then maybe one more a couple of days later.  Then move on.  Most ladies will have their booking process on their website.

Lastly, read these threads in this forum.  It takes some time, but I've learned a TON.  And I don't even see my first provider until next week.  LOL.

Tell them your situation, and see if they will give you alternate methods of getting screened.
