Hello everyone.  I've been lurking for awhile and thought it was probably high time I introduced myself.  I'm a newbie who's taking it slow and step by step, doing the research, getting the tools (hobby phone, web email, gift cards) and getting comfortable with the idea of taking up the hobby.  I got my VIP about a month ago and have been enjoying the benefits of full membership.
I really want to thank all the regular contributors to this board for their advice and, especially, for their patience.  I'm a retired newbie, so I fall into the category, often discussed on this board, of having neither references nor a work telephone number.  I thought other newbies in that situation might like to know about the positive experience I had with P411.  There are several well-reviewed ladies in my region that belong to P411 and my research on this board indicated that P411 might be willing to work with me.  I contacted one of their screeners directly through the chat line and, after sending her some additional information on me, I was approved in less than 24 hours.  It helped that my picture can be readily found on the web.  So, all you retired and self-employed newbies, it can be done.  Now I just have to take a deep breath....and take the next step of contacting a provider. Thanks again everyone.

Not to be Debbie Downer, but remember that some ladies (myself included) will also need either recent P411 Okays, other references, or work info to screen you to their comfort level. Some will be ok with just your having a P411 membership, of course, and I hope you're able to find them easily.

They charge a membership fee for providers as well as clients, *and* it's not used commonly in my area. I'll likely be leaving Date-Check after my trial ends for the same reasons. Preferred411, on the other hand, is completely free for the ladies and is huge where I live (Dallas, TX).

I think if you check with DateCheck they will extend your free membership every time you give a gentleman an ok or refer a new provider to them. I know of several ladies who have never had to pay by taking advantage of their program.

Now if I can only meet someone who's on Date-Check!
