Is it normal for a girl to work out of a motel or is that a bad sign. Is a better sign an upscale apartment?

Also do the cops ever run stings. I know the do for street prostitution but how protected are we legally? The most important question is the motel thing though.

That being said - motels where there is an exterior door directly into the room is the worst setup, in my view. Too easy for someone to see all of the traffic to the room and report it to management and / or LE. Too easy for LE to surveille at a discreet distance.
The mid level ladies, in my experience, choose mid to upper level hotels with large, busy lobbies. That's the safest setup, unless the lady has her own incall condo or whatever and excellent security and discretion protocols.

start by searching the TER reviews for ladies in your area who meet your specifications and price range
much safer and a higher satisfaction rate to boot.

I do not go to cheap motels in general and when looking at a review, pay close attention to the atmosphere rating. Even a legitimate escort can be robbed while you are there and you can robbed also. Somebody pointed out before that stings are never in upscale hotels because police are too cheap to set up stings there. Be Safe
Please, don't mislead like this. Stings are run on the street, in motels, in 4-star hotels, in multi-million dollar vacation condos, and even in private residences.
You cannot assume that "police are too cheap to set up stings there."

I can tell by your post you are paranoid for a good reason. You clearly don't know the safe way to enter the hobby.
Here is some sound advice. Spend at least $20 bucks and get the VIP status here on TER. This way you can read the full reviews of the ladies and pick one that is not only well reviewed but reviewed by other guys that have a lot of reviews. This will all but eliminate you getting in trouble with LE or being robed. Why? Simple, because if they both have a lot of reviews they know what they are doing and how to do it. You being a newbie need this more than you know. Heck you don't even know how to leave the donation or when.
At the top of the newbie page click on the newbies manual and read EVERYTHING. This will give you a good introduction into the hobby, how to play in the hobby and what to avoid (like the add you just posted). A lot of guys make the mistake to go at things blind and either get robbed, ripped off , disappointed or all three!!!

DCT, if you are really going into this thinking it will be a one time thing, I'd suggest you just avoid it altogether. The hobby is extremely addictive and just as you shouldn't plan on only doing one line of coke or 1 fix of H, you shouldn't think you are only going to see a provider once. And just like drugs, once you are hooked, money will stop being an obstacle as long as you can scrape enough together. Take it from someone who's been there and is jonesing for his next fix. Not that I'd trade the experiences for anything in the world, I've met some wonderful people and had some amazing sex over the last couple of months.
it is up to you whether you continue or not. i got mine less than a year ago and it was a terrific investment which helped me avoid making a first date with a rip off artist. i found a well reviewed lady for my first experience and avoided a certain disaster.

Dallas is a big place with many good and bad areas, I usually like to play in the N Dallas, Addison area myself, but you would be best served by posting this on the Dallas regional board. You can find it on the left part of this page under "REGIONAL BOARDS".
There are no absolutes but there are certainly approaches that work and some that don't. Motels, to me at least, are never a good idea for in call. It's too easy for LE to observe the comings and goings of clients and move in for an arrest. Honestly, from a providers point of view they are not very safe either. Apartments, again, in my opinion, are even more dangerous. Too many nosy neighbors.
I either do out call to a place of my choosing or I see women staying in decent, secure hotels in good areas. I also don't see girls who are not either reviewed here on TER or at least have their own website and have been around for a while.
Stay as far away from Craig's-List-motel-street- walkers and you will be going a long way towards staying safe.
