not negative.  Positive means that you do have the STD.

You notified her, and that's the only thing you can or should do I would say.

I think the first provider I have ever seen gave me an STD. I'm pretty sure it was from her, because this is the absolutely first time I've ever been with a provider, after 13 years with the same person prior. I have never had any issues, but 2 days after I met with this particular provider, I end up with a bacteria infection which is similar to chlamydia/gonorrhea. Tests came back negative, but I have been on antibiotics for 2 weeks now. Finally doing better, but I don't want other to go thru the same thing. I contacted the provider (a very popular one, very busy, many many reviews and clients) and she says she is clean (she said she visited the Dr after I told her what happened) and all results were OK (not able to verify myself obviously).

My question: Do I tell / warn the community in general about my experience with her? Doing so would be a death-blow to ever going hobbying again.

Or should I just keep my f*cking mouth shut, move on, and forget this ever happened?

2 days is pretty fast for an STD to raise its ugly head.  He says the infection is "similar to chlamydia/gonorrhea". The incubation for chlamydia is 1 - 6 weeks.  Gonorrhea can be as short as 1 day.  If it was really an STD the doctor would have told him what it actually was. The treatment for gonorrhea is usually a single dose of antibiotics.

It sounds more to me like he might have been coming down with an NSU that happened at a most inopportune time.

Many bacteria infections can be transmitted in other ways besides sexually.
Also, you had two cultures taken? Both have been negative? Was one taken before antibiotics were started?

If you started antibiotics before cultures were taken that can effect the results. The antibiotics could destroy the bacteria in the culture bottle.

Also, if you never had a positive test, the doctor could be treating you as a STD because of sexual history.

Hope you recovered fast. I would definitely address this with her directly. That's exactly what you did. This topic is so sensitive because of the various interactions a provider comes in contact with. Confusing to tell who gave the infection to who in this circle.

When I had gone to see the doctor, they did a variety of tests, urine, blood, swab. The urine test came back first, with a bacterial infection. When I told them I had sex with an escort, they basically stopped asking questions, cancelled the cultures, and gave me a suite of board spectrum drugs to take, along with orders for blood work, HIV, etc (all of which has been coming black clean, thank god).

MrFisher's above reply is correct, chlamydia/gonorrhea both came back negative, but all this says is that I didn't have the two most common bacterial infections. There are approximately 30 other bacterial STDs (or so the Dr said) and they would treat me "non-specifically" with the broad spectrum antibiotics. I got a single dose of Azithromycin (4 pills at once to swallow) and a shot of Ceftriaxone in the arm. This worked well for a few days, and my symptoms improved. However, a few days after that the discharge came back, so I went and got another single dose treatment of Ceftriaxone again, and they put me on Doxicycline pills for an additional 10 days. This finally did the trick. Additional tests a week later came back negative for chlamydia/gonorrhea again.

So they never really seemed to care what it was, but rather just shot me full of drugs. I guess it doesn't really matter though, it seems to have done the trick.

If I did happen to be coming down with something, this was extremely coincidental. And for being my first time, I can say I am struggling whether to get back on the horse again or cut my losses. I think I'll take a month to think about it. But, definitely, not going back to that particular provider

Thanks for the additional information.  I'm glad for you the other tests are coming back clean.  I am still gonna fault the doctor for not knowing exactly what he is treating.  His approach was like shooting a bullseye target with a shotgun.  Something was gonna work.  I think thats one of the reasons we have problems with mutated diseases.  We just throw things at them until they become resistant to everything.

Anyway,  I'd pressure him to see if he can give you a specific answer as to what the infection was.  After all,  he's the supposed to be the doctor.  Once you gave him something he could use as a diagnosis (sex with a provider ie... STD) he just became a drug distributor.  You pay his fees.  Make him do his job properly.

Sorry to be harsh but what kind of jackass do you have for a doctor? Also why would you take meds when you don't even know what is wrong? Jeez! You probably should take a mth off and spend it reading about stds on the board and finding a new doc.

a bacterial infection...  is not necessarily a STD.   I had a UTI...  was freaking out, of course.  It was a common bacteria run amuck because I am immune supressed.  

Without a real possitive test...  it is X bacteria...  you certainly have nothing to report.  The lady has tested & stated she had a negative report and presumeably her doctor completed the testing.   It is completely possible that you caught a common normal bacteria transfered from yourself or from her in your play.  There are thousands of bacteria on your skin every day, without problems...  just so long as you keep them where they belong & not elsewhere.
