There are so many places to consider for touring. I'm most familiar with the Boston-NY-DC corridor. I'm sure you will get a lot of suggestions from others.
You might want to consider getting VIP membership so you can get access to the PM (private message) TER internal email and get more specific details on locations from members.
Good luck to you

The first and best is to check out the Self Help/Newbie Manual that is linked on this page.  Look for the red and white life preserver.  It is full of information about the hobby in general and about how to use TER in particular.

As for the best places to travel, I always say Boston but since I'm from there, I'm biased.

To check out the kind of reception you might get, post on some of the local boards so that people get to know you.  If you get the right vibes, post on the local ad board that you are considering a visit to that city and see if you get enough response to justify the trip.  You can offer a nominal discount for pre-booking deposit to be sure that they actually do see you.

I assume you have no reviews or profile on TER at present, which will prove a bit of a handicap in attracting clients, so getting prospective clients to learn about you is a must.

I assume you must have a website or an ad site.  You can link that site to each post you make on TER IF you have an interactive TER logo on that site.  You'll find instructions in the aforementioned manual on how to get that logo on your site.

Wishing you the best, and welcome to TER.

Welcome China! I love Boston and Chicago as well, so consider that! Of course, as a newbie you are going to run into the issue of not having reviews which most men require before seeing a new provider. Sadly, the one site that does not care about reviews is backpage, but you'll get a lot of bsers and hagglers if you go that route.

My advice is get a website up and running as soon as you can. You don't have to go professional right away, but if you don't have reviews it makes you seem more legit to go that route. There are many free sites you can still purchase a domain name for, but I find most of them tacky and unoriginal unless you know something about web design to add your own touch to them.

Touring is always a crap shoot. I usually place ads 30 days out, and once a week until the week I arrive to give guys time to prebook you. The only issue with that, is to place an ad on TER you need an ad to link to somewhere like Eros, P411, Date Check, etc. or a personal website with the TER logo on the home page.

I'm from Boston as well born and raised! I moved out to California a few years ago :) but besides the greatest city out there. Your feedback is greatly appreciated, Thankyou & I hope I can get a little more insight from you as my website is already approved with the TER logo. So where do I go from

Okay so I'm going to need some more advice as you seem very knowledgeable :)
•i have 2 websites, professional photos,
•one of the two has the approved TER logo on it
They both have crap domain names I have a pending ad with Eros, and several other ads on countless provider websites
Its irritating because getting your name out there isn't the problem these days. It's getting reviews and referrals for clients to even consider you and don't get me started on the screening process.
London Rayne, can you help put me in the right direction of where to go from here

that says "link URL" when you start a post.

It will be there when anyone opens it.

Do it now.

I'm anxious to check it out, as are, I bet, the rest of us.

Why don't you email me? [email protected]

There is not much you can do to get reviews, other than seeing TER guys who you know write reviews. Review discounts are done, but frowned upon because who is going to give a bad review after getting a discounted rate lol. Changing your domain name is actually rather easy...just see what is available and make the change.

Eros is a good site and you can certainly link to that on your profile once your first reviewer creates it for you. Make SURE after that first review that your services listed are accurate and the rate is correct, or you will need to file a problem report to correct that. TER encourages this, so no worries there. If the guy puts a lot of "I don't knows," you need to correct them to say what you do and do not do, so guys will know.

Also, get on P411 after you have a legit hobbyist vouch for you. A world of clients open up on that site that do not use any review board.

The life preserver is on the upper right of most of the discussion boards. It's in a rectangular box. It's red & white. Directly under it is the link to the Self-Help Center. Click that link to find other links to how TER  works & how to use it. Lots of info there for providers and hobbyists. Read it all. Sometimes one link has more info than just what the title states it has.
