Ok boys and girls,
I am currently in search for a provider.  I have used one other provider in the past, about a year and a half ago.  When it came to verification, she just called me back on my cell phone.  Of course being my first time (at least in the US, have used other overseas) I was a bit nervous.  When the provider arrived at my home I was fucking shaking because I did not know if she was a cop.  She must have thought I was a dumb ass because I asked her to lift her shirt to make sure she was not wired.  And I cheked ID to make sure she was not under age.  As you can tell I was fucking paranoid.

Anyway, all this comes abck again because as I have been looking for another provider I keep seeing things like "need references".  There was one provider that asked for my name, number at work, my position at work, and driver's license number.  Holy shit does she need DNA sample too.  I am a little paranoid about all this info being in the files.  So I guess I have two questions.

1. Is this normal these days?

2. I am fucking nuts for being so damn paranoid?

Please help me out.

...we are taking quite a chance when we meet new clients. We must protect ourselves as intelligently as possible. We too could be wondering if you are LE, or someone who will be threatening to us. I have always taken precautions so I can then feel comfortable enough to spoil a man I choose to spend time with, and I've never been unpleasantly surprised.
When I meet a new client, and he will be coming to visit me, I meet him at a coffee shop a few blocks away for a brief hello...that way we are both able to make sure we are comfortable with each other. I've found those with nothing to hide, and who realize there's no reason for me to even keep any information concerning him (I NEVER keep incriminating info around...not phone #'s, names, ANYTHING IN ANY FORM), have no problem with questions that fit in well when meeting anyone for the first time!!
I am an independant, so a friend always knows where I'm at, and we check in and out with each other. I will say I don't ask for work numbers or positions...yet I do screen first time friends in my own way. If you are uncomfortable giving all that information, don't! Try someone else!
I would say from the sounds of it, you might ligten up just a little on the "wire-tapping" idea, as you might enjoy yourself better!

:)

That ain't normal. The providers I use just want a name and another provider as a reference. You might wanna stay away from that one just to be safe.

Question #2: Insensitive yes; but not nuts.

You may find the below link enlightening.
BTW- If you are not exaggerating "asking for Drivers License #" is NOT common.

DL # might = identity theft.  As another has said, that isn't normal.

I think so too. But the provider is Ciera Sage the porn star, so it makes me wonder.  I'll probably wait.

She has a few poor reviews but she looks to be the real deal. Drop the paranoia and go for it.

We have to make sure you arent a cop
or psycho

OF course you have to make sure of the same. Its why there is TER to check us out.

I was the same way and it took me a while to get over it. A couple of things. Join TER and there is a 99.999% chance that a girl with lots of good reviews is not going to share your information, is not the law, is not nuts, has no managers waiting in the car to ROB you, will not stoke you up and blow you off when you pop. Think about it, for 20.00 you can become very comfortable by reading as many reviews as you want and selecting a perfect provider. There is no way a turn coat is going to stay on TER.
