Traveling, looking for a provider and I found a likely one - 18 reviews over a 24 month period, mostly active reviewers, very satisfied, so I call her. Conversation is pleasant, quick, goes to whether I am looking for incall or outcall, then when, quotes a rate, gives me some contact info to call her a couple of hours before the meet.
I ask how she does screening, and she says, "I just screened you sweetie and you came through with flying colors."
On the one hand, the track record is golden; on the other, that exchange terrifies me. So I am calling on the assembled wisdom of TER - what should I do? Okay, I know you will all say run, hide, do not go there, but of course I want to, so talk me out of it.
18 reviews in the last 2 years? Unless every one of those guys has only 1 or 2 reviews, you've got no reason to even hesitate in my opinion. Just go for it already.
From OP's post, I got the impression that "I just screened you" was all in the course of a 60 second conversation. Now, if it was a while later, she could have used caller ID to search his phone number and more, but DURING the first phone call? How did she screen him? I think she just used her instincts and gut feelings, which may be A-OK and spot on. I just don't think she did an in-depth secret screening while on the phone with the guy.
As always, you guys were correct - I went, I enjoyed, I was a little anxious driving up, but there were so many reasons to think it was okay, and it was a fine experience.
I am curious, Ashley, how you screen without asking any questions, but I know a key component here was - out of state phone number, and number that traced back to what was clearly a person who lived in the state tied to that phone number. If I had been in state, or not had a clear track record as a real human on the web (so hard to be anonymous these days, the only solution is to hide in plain sight, I guess), I was told there would have been questions.
No red or yellow flags based on what she told you, and/or are mentioning here. If you need further assurances, send a PM to some of her recent reviewers, and see what they say...
