Let's start with Her standards. What does she ask for on her website or in her ads? Does she ask for ALL personally identifiable info (PII)? No exceptions? None at all? Some exceptions?
.
Does she ask for the state logo and your photo with some info covered up? Does she offer alternative ways to screen? References from other Providers? Calling your biz phone number (usually with a fake message: "Is this the office of Mr. Jtejte? (Did I pronounce that correctly?) I'm calling to remind Mr. Jtejte about his dentist appointment on Thursday." or some other pre-arranged message)? LinkedIn? Some do accept P411 OKs, some do not. Public paid meeting (dinner)? Some are OK with that; some find it irrelevant to what might happen BCD so it's not good enough.
.
Then there are Your standards. Some guys on TER make it 100% clear that they will not provide PII. They just move on to the next lady on their list. A photo-only might only be so some providers can screen by race without actually saying "No AA" (or no oldies or uglies) out loud. Some are OK with that; others, not. Some have no problem giving PII to reputable Providers (many positive recent reviews; no complaints on the boards). No PII for new or too few reviews or sketchy Providers. Each of those guys has their cut off limit. ("Only 8 reviews, lower than my usual minimum of 12, but I PM'd several of the well respected experienced reviewers and they all give her strong + for trustworthiness.")
.
Most commenters (Provider and Client) reject any screening via on-line chat or zoom or other video method. #1, it's too easy to scam someone: "See it's really me, in your city and can see you tomorrow. Send me a deposit." and she's actually in North Korea or Siberia. #2, it's too easy to video record the screen time and then threaten you with blackmail of some sort. And other video scams.
.
Start with Your comfort zone regarding PII.
- Never! Not in a million years! I'm moving on.
- OK, with the right Provider.
- I'm not worried about being outed or extorted or anything else. She can have everything, even my HS Yearbook!
.
I've probably left out some pos and neg factors on each "standard" but others may chime in.
What is standard protocol for giving out drivers license information in the screening process. I can see sending for picture while covering up address, DL # and dob. Comments?

when I've provided that for screening is redact address, ID number, date of issue and expiration and month and day of birth. I don't might leaving year of birth and my name (very common one). Not sure what state you are from so will just also add take a close look at your license. On mine there are some watermark type aspects that also include some of that information (like ID #). I also redact that type of thing on the card as well. If there is a visible bar code on your picture cover it too.
If you want to be extra careful you could also redact any of the description -- height, eye color -- and license related things like license class but I never bothered with that.

I am trying to get screened with what what is a well reviewed agency. They want a completely clear work id and drivers license for screening. On the one hand , they seem reputable, but I cannot see the value to them of having all the info on my license. Thoughts? Thanks!!!
