Please allow me to be the first, but hopefully not the only one to offer you an apology, as well as an apology to the entire community. I have been around for a while, and normally am not as stupid as my response to your recent post would indicate. Had I bothered to  remember that this is the Newbies Board, and bothered to actually pay attention to the alias that you used, perhaps I'd have responded differently.

Additionally, my thanks to WildTurkey-101 for the 2x4 between the eyes. Sometimes that's what it takes, unfortunately. This behavior seems to be a growing epidemic, not only here, but on a lot of the boards. People seem to be thinking, "What can I find wrong with this post?" rather than, "What do I have to offer this person?" I believe it's one of the major reasons that we have lost some of our long time posters whose opinions I value greatly.

I have been pondering writing a post, pointing out that there is a problem in this area for a few days. Then, all it took was for someone to point out that I had just done the exact thing that I was planning on bitching about.

Again, my apologies to the community, and a sincere thanks to WT.

I am an avid reader of your posts hungry and do so respect what you write. I too have sometimes written something and then relized how harsh it may sound to others.

Let's all keep this the friendliest board on TER where no one should feel foolish to ask for help.

and I hope not the only one to apologize to  diligentschoolboy. I too believe he was unfairly castigated for simply asking a question on the one board that was designed for questions of that nature.

I'll skip all the platitudes about class, and how a real man admits his mistakes, etc, etc., but it's nice to see someone stepping up and I hope others follow.

I was reading the thread as it developed and couldn't really understand why it was going that way on this board. I kept checking the board title to make sure I wasn't on the GD board. lol  I couldn't post my concern because my phone was going screwy, but I was damned glad to see this post when I pulled up TER today.

WildTurkey-101 said it well, and you are mirroring the sentiment,- this board is for help, not castigation.

I hope others will follow suit, or at least be a little more tolerant.

You are 100% right.  I think we all may have made this same mistake as you on occasion, lord knows I have. As a newbie I came to realize that I shouldn't go from the P&R board to the newbie board in one click. LOL (thanks to Jazz, thank you Jazz)  

I realized that this board is different. Really more of an education program, rather than a spot to point out how dumb a question might be. And yes the same question may be asked again and again.  If people don't like that then maybe they shouldn't contribute to this board by posting.

You on the other hand should not stop posting here, or the other places you post, because to do contribute to the community in a positive way.

but I am in complete agreement with you on this. I sometimes forget my manners too when jumping from the P&R board to other boards. It is an easy thing to do.

You might want to do a search on provider and client relationships. Strictly observing the boundries between the two usually works best. It can be really difficult to go back and forth. The erotic highway is full of posts on this subject. The LG really can set you straight.

Since we met last spring in Tampa, I have enjoyed your posts.  That was a real classy one.

While I have only been hobbying for about two and a half years, some guys have asked me for advice.  Not sure why, because I sure as hell don't have all the answers.

This is the one forum where no question should be ridiculed by anyone.  If the guy knew the answer, he would not be asking for our help.

We need to remember that, vets, and be ready to help out the noobs, so they can enjoy themselves, but also so they can help out future newbies with what they have learned.

Not sure that you should be thanking me, I certainly could have been more diplomatic. I fully expected and was prepared to get blasted for my post and 'run out of town', LOL. So I was truely humbled when I read your post, that alone says alot about someone.

You make a very valid point in that this is becoming a real problem on other boards, I have all but stopped posting elsewhere, just not worth all the drama and ill will towards others. I am just here for fun, plain and simple. Take the fun and women away, I'm outa here, LOL!

Seriously, I like coming to this board because I like to help people enjoy the experience more. TER can be a better place for all with more participation in the review process - that would mean more reviews on each lady and more ladies profiles in the system. So many times you hear of Newbies and veterans alike who do not write reviews or half ass search reviews cause they do not understand the process. I used to be one of those people. Now it is like the more you use the system, the more you understand why things are done the way they are, and the more you appreciate it. I just hate to see folks give up on it out of frustration because they don't understand or know how. Sure, almost every question asked on this board, the answer is already here if they look for it. But why do that?, here is a board just for asking questions, faster, simpler and easier. That was my train of thought when I started.

So my hat goes off to you Hungry, and thank you for accepting my 2x4 in the spirit it was intended.

I'd say this is the best board to learn on with the possible exception of The Erotic Highway where professor Love Goddess holds sway.
