Tipping A provider...

As I'm obviously new to this what is the protocol for tipping a provider? I have heard from 10 to 30%. Also do you leave the tip with the donation? What if the service was not that great and you wound up over tipping. At that point you certainly can't ask for it back. Sorry for all of the questions.

Thanks

Don't take wooden Nickels.......That's my tip for the day......
If I enjoyed my time with them, I will book another date. That is how I tip......

as unlucky just said in slightly different words. There is no standard protocol (or standard amount)for tipping. Some guys tip all the time. Some never tip. Some tip only for esceptional service or extra time. Some will tip agency girls but not indies. (because agency girls have to give up a big chunk of their earnings to the agency) Some dont tip but bring gifts. Some tip and bring gifts. It is totally up to you, if you tip, when you tip, and how much to tip if any, but do consider that these are not waitresses making minimum wage depending on tips to survive. These are ladies who can make in an hour what many folks take a day or more to earn. This topic comes up a lot on this board and if you do a search you will see many many comments on tipping. I have already done the search for you. Check the link for all the posts on tipping for the past 300 days.

but as I have said many times before, I do take gifts.  If I had a great time with the provider, a return visit will most likely be arranged in the future.  There really is no set amount to tip, if you choose to do so.  But, I would not include it with the donation and leave it when you depart.  If you include it with the donation and don't have such a great time, you just gave her extra $ for subpar performance.  How much you leave her is up to you.

Do a search for tipping on this board or the GD board and you might get an idea what some guys do tip.

There is no percentage. I have been tipped 20 to 500 before, so it varies. Most of us have a tip built in our rates, so I would say that fbsm and agency gals deserve them more than I do being they are not asking for much, or giving half to someone else.

I started off in agency and hated the games the upsell the lies ... Could go on and on ... Now I am independent and have been for over a year. The ones that do tip don't give it to me until the end ... Money upfront then tip in the end (no pun intended).  The amount I do get is usually a few $20 or a hundred with comments such as "wow I didn't expect all this" or "thank you for not rushing and staying a bit longer".

Yes repeat business is the best tip but if you are traveling and see someone that just made your whole week ... Why not tip!

New to the hobby, I have always wondered about this.  I often see on provider websites "tips appreciated, never expected" and "the best tip is a return visit".  Given the "secret" nature of the hobby (discretely place the donation in an envelope and never refer to it...) I always thought it awkward, at the end of the session, to break out the wallet and say, "Hey, you were great, here is a tip."

And as Swim said above, pretipping has the potential to reward a subpar visit.

I will usually leave the tip on the bathroom counter as I'm changing and getting dressed rather than breaking out the wallet right in front of her.
