As some of you may already know, it can be really hard starting out in this business. I've been advertising and seeing hobbyist from BP, but would like to advertise on other sites where there are TER members in hope to receive some reviews. I have advertised on here as well, but being new I understand how some may not want to take a chance with me.  

If advertising on other sites (ie:BP) can I mention "TER members welcomed?" Any advise on how or where to advertise to get some reviews would be helpful. Also, any suggestions on how I should approach hobbyist from BP on becoming TER members or should I approach them at all?

First up - where are you located babe?  Every post you make should be taken as an opportunity to indirectly advertise yourself. I very rarely see a new-to-me provider at this point, my three ATFs have me some seriously and ridicuously spoiled, but I did see a new and wonderful young lady this week and I found her here....on the Newbie Board.  Don't be obtrusive about it, but until you have a profile linked to your reviews always be subtly gettng your info out there.

I found TER by virtue of a provider mujch like your frustrated self. Some of the vets around here are probably pretty sick of the damn story by now...



.....but like most hobbyists I started on BP, getting ripped off a lot and seeing providers I would never consider for a moment today (some of that history is just...gross....but some is quite wonderful as well, Lindsey Love whom I reviewed and saw many times remains one of the most beautiful and wonderful women I have ever met).  One day a provider asked me to please review her on TER, said she had pulled a couple of average reviews because guys were being dicks (had requested BBFS when they got to room, gave her bad reviews when she refused as I recall).  I had never heard of TER and she was honestly, truly surprised.  Said she was surprised that I hadn't been hospitalized by a pimp or arrested in a sting yet, and pulled up TER on her lappy.  I became a member shortly thereafter and never looked back, and I am quite indebted to her.

So yes, I would ask if they are aware of the site in casual conversation AFTER your activities.  I would even offer to show them the site, take them to the Reviews area and perform a search that will also return yourself as an option.  If I were on your side of the equation?  Tell them that if you see that they reviewed you, you will offer them $50  off the next date with you.  Don't cross the line of "good or great review", just say "review".  Please don't be THAT girl, you are better than that.

So this increases your potential for reviews and building you portfolio.  If you are going to say "TER members welcome" that is kinda silly, of course we are and we know that, we are kinda ideal vis a vis someone you can't research.  Offer a TER discount on your ad love, maybe $25?  People love to get a discount because they are "in teh club", consumer psychology.  $25 if already a member and you can perfom that background, $50 off next date if they join afterwards and review you.

Jordan, your best bet is to try to find an experienced provider near your area that would be willing to mentor you. This can be tricky because some will just see you as competition, while others may be happy to share the benefits of your experience. Browse the regional board, you may be able to get a sense of which women you'd like to talk to based on her posts.

I believe that many providers will tell you that offering all kinds of discounts is NOT the way to get started. Some potential clients will see that as "bargain basement" advertising - couple that with posting on BP and you will attract only the lowest common denominator, something that you are obviously trying to avoid. And offering a discount for reviews is a very slippery slope that can get you into trouble; you really should NOT post that in your ad, but if you feel you need reviews asap, just discuss it with the client after he shows up.

You can advertise here on your local board once a week, and that is a VERY good way to start building up a higher class of clientele. There is nothing wrong with advertising on BP, but it is VERY important to class up your ads. Having a website is important, if you don't have one - get one. You can get started with a "cookie-cutter" type site that is cheap or free, and build something nicer when you can afford it. Linking to a classy website from a BP ad classes up the ad all by itself. Now, make sure the ad is well written, post a good quality photo, and as soon as you get a review, include your TER ID number to make it easy for guys to find you here.

You can't even put that on eros anymore if I remember correctly. It used to be you could say, "Reviewed at TER" on eros, but I have not noticed that in a while. Best thing for you to do is get a web site, and link to TER.

ANd I never realized it was why providers do this on BP until now.  They will just say "see my reviews, # ****** with their TER number.  They don't mention TER, but men on TER understand what she is saying.

Another piece of the puzzle people...

...TER members recognize the five or six digit number.  You don't even have to say "see my reviews."

I have been screening for friends of mine who just start out in this business.

My rep is pretty well known on Ter so right of the bat my being their screener gets them legitimacy. Then they build their rep from there.

You may wanna find a well known Lady in the area who could screen for you even if its just to get you off the ground. They ave experience as well so those stumbling blocks all newbies trip over you can avoid with her experience.
Im sure if you looked around you could find an Indy whos well known who screens for others near you.
You will still be Indy just with help.

Sorry it took me a while to respond

I live in between what I call "two worlds" on the DE/MD borderline, so that within itself can be hard for me when seeing clients near by. I would rather travel and work, but not sure if that is a good idea, because I feel I should probably establish myself close to where I live. So many things to consider.  

As for your advise on how I should go about getting reviews, I will take it into consideration. I always try to make sure I keep my ad's nice and clean, informative enough to let it know I will go the extra mile to please, so you won't find me offering my services for anything less than $150. Nor do I do 15 min sessions. BP is really hard to get anyone descent, when you have girls offering there services for $50 $60. Can't and won't compete with that, so sometimes that leaves me with me being lucky if I see 2 clients a week. I don't stay in low budget hotels, so I can't and won't charge the low fees that some of the BP providers do. I really wish there were some other site I can advertise on beside BP. I have been advertising myself on TER as much as possible, but understand until I get reviews, me seeing someone from here is slim.  

After meeting with someone last night, who I've seen for the 4th time, I asked if he would mind getting on and giving me a review. He said he would, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he would keep his word.  

No, I did not give him a discount or offer one on his next session with me. LOL!
