Looking to meet up with a provider but wondering if my membership with TER will be enough in regards to the verification process. Don't feel comfortable giving away too much personal information. Can any1 shed some light on this or is it always a case by case basis.

Just being a TER member does not make you a safe guy to see.  See my answer to the post immediately below this one.

Join a screening service like P411, Datecheck or RS2000.  Any putz can be a vip and it proves nothing to the provider other than you paid for vip membership. Learn how to use the search feature, this is an often discussed topic. Good luck.

after a bit, you may get referances & leave some reviews...  that reduce but not eleliminate the screening process.

You probaly won't answer the question because you are one of the types that want the fruits of the hobby, but don't understand some of the things that you have to give up.

If you don't want to give personal information to a provider, join a paid verification service. You WILL have to give personal information, but only once. Use providers that utilize the service to verify potential clients.

That said, the answer is NO.  T.E.R. is just a review board.  It does not screen its members.

like the other members mentioned, is not valuable on its own without Whitelist references, other provider references and possibly some other type of verification service such as P411, Date check, etc. Anyone can get a handle and contribute but that doesn't automatically mean you are "safe".

TER VIP membership, in and of itself, is worthless for verification purposes.

That said, I know some ladies who like to see what you post to get some idea of your personality. You don't need a VIP membership to post. That is only part of the verification process. She still needs to know if you are LE, don't ripoff the ladies, etc. TER VIP membership is no help there.
