Just trying to share the "wisdom" from my painful experiance of getting busted.  There seem to be lots of urban myths in the hobby about avoiding law enforcement, like using indirect terms or euphamisms, like calling payment a donation or putting it in an envelope or not talking about it or not disrobing or doing anything until you're sure.  The whole '2 call system' and 'donation envelope' and asking if anyone is a cop and disclaiming statements are no protection at all.

I got busted with my money in my pocket and my clothes fully on, and the only verbal contract I made was to mumble "ok" when she asked if I wanted " the GFE".  And I'd bet the guys would have rushed in to cuff me and put me thru hell even if I'd stayed silent or tried to leave immediately.

If you answer an add online, and call its number, and show up to that location, you're pretty much showing intent to solicit.  And even if the case is weak, the add vague, the evidence shoddy, they get what they want, which is supression via harassment and emberassment, not convictions and prison.

BEWARE.  You know less than you think you do probably.  Online escorts are subject to stings as much as street walkers.  If you aren't 110% sure, don't show up to 'check it out' like I did, unless filthy cells and cuffs and the works are your idea of fun.

Disclaimers, envelopes and the like are no substitute for research if you want to be safe.

Calling a blind BP, CityVibe, Eros etc ad without any reviews carries a certain amount of risk. As you found out the hard way, once you are in the room with LE, you are going to jail. No "LE check" or envelope or euphamisms are going to save you. sorry you had to find out the hard way, I hope your words will serve to keep at least someone from learning the hard way as well.

Sorry that happened to you but it's clear from your reviews that you have taken a lot of risks with CL & BP.

You say we know less than we think, but most know to avoid those places.

All you can ever do is limit the risk.  With care the risk CAN be reduced a lot but not to zero.

Way before I knew anything about TER.  Your situation sounds as if it were a repeat of mine.  I answered "O.K." to the statement "Let's have some fun."  Otherwise, there was obsolutely no mention of sex: either sex in general or a specific sex act.

At least I had the thrill of having 4 guns (yes, that's right, 4!) guns pointed at me.

Newbie here guys so I hope this doesn't sound too dumb.

What if a provider from BP does an outcall at my place? Obviously the LE isn't waiting in the next room and unless the girl is wired, there is nothing planted in MY room. I'm not trying to get snagged here but I'm looking for my "first one" and don't want to be stupid about it. Thanks!!

Don't think it won't happen to you and listen to that inner voice that says turn around and run. Sometimes men let the little head take over for rational thinking.

Anyone who doesn't do research can get stung. Google the ladies phonenumber to see what comes up. See if the number has many ladies using that number with no website. This could be a pimp or a rip off lady. In most cases LE will use a phonenumber once and move on...No history means beware.

Everytime you see someone with no background check you are taking chances. You have one of the best yellow pages right here so do use it.

Every lady with a profile here started with a gentleman taking one for the team. It's not for the faint at heart and you see even with experience you get stung.

This is not just a warning for the gentlemen here but also providers. Gentlemen do what you need to stay safe and do the same for the ladies who ask the same.

Remember, for LE, it is their job to trap you.  They have, and will, try anything.

It doesn't matter how you phrase things, disclaimers you putin ads, not discussing details... Once you are in the door, you will be arrested, it may not hold up if you fight it in court but that won't keep them from taking you to jail. It is a risk that providers and clients take.
Stick to well reviewed providers, providers need to check references and do their verifications and above all go with your gut. If it doesn't feel right, don't go. The odds are on our side, the number of arrests compared to the number of appointments is a very small percentage.

you got busted seeing a lady that was well reviewed, or if you saw a lady that didn't require screening. You have a fair amount of reviews here too, so I'm afraid that if that didn't help you meet a more reputable provider here, nothing will.
This is risky behavior, our little arena, and there are avenues to make sure that getting busted doesn't happen to the ladies or the gents.

So my question to you is: Is the reason for your post to let us know that despite our best efforts here, posting reviews and being reviewed to prove our legitimacy, it is to no effect? Or to let us know that you wish you had used to resources available to you?

I interpreted that as he saw a lady with no reviews. He used the phrase 'check it out' unless you are 110% sure. Thus, unless I am corrected I think he was just letting the little brain take over and saw the results...

but I would say yes with outcall you have more control over the setting and environment.. they like to trap and secure large numbers... not spend the time, cost and man hours and effort to focus on one individual at one specific time and place.

I was a dumb ass, took a stupid risk, nobody needs to rub that in.  No my point isn't to tell anybody else they are dumb or say that using TER can't help.  Its to try to make my stupidity of some use to somebody.

Yes, I was a dumb ass.  I actually thought something's off in my gut, becasue she asked what I wanted over the phone.  She also gave me the direct address, she also called me back when I was asked if we could meet earlier....I'd had a few, and the add offered a 'bargain' and I was stupid enough to THINK that I could play it cool and back off if it smelled bad, which it did, but that didn't help me.

So that's my point, to help disabuse any dumb asses like me of ideas.  Sure, the total TER heroes may not get trapped, but I'm aiming at someone who's picked up the myths one gets from participating in the hobby, like the envelope thing.  And btw, sure I'm a dumb ass, but if the number of TER reviews that say something about '2 call system' or 'donation' or 'envelopes' is an indication, these myths of LE protection via ephamism and indirectness are pretty widespread, even amongst TER'ers.

Also, one more myth, the shear prevelance of online adds can make one believe that if not quite legal, escorting is 'tolerated' and not enforced as long as its discrete and behind closed doors, none of the neighborhood disruption and sleaze of street trade. Sounds sensible, hey, the adds are right out in the open, must be tolerated.  WRONG, dumb asses like me should know that they do online stings. Just trying to help.
