I had a provider, well established, who was in a hurry to verify me, so she sent an email to the references I provided her and did so in a blanket email. I never heard the end of it from the other ladies who received it
I have a very good friend who is a hobbyist. We text often about girls he sees and sometimes he even asks me for recommendations. He is not new to girls who send mass texts. He actually appreciates it. Hes single and answers to no one so he doesn't mind the texts from girls letting him know they are in town.
Recently a girl let him know she was in town... the mistake: she sent the text to a whole bunch of numbers at once, so people could see each other's numbers. As it turns out, she not only sent a mass text. She sent a GROUP text lol The answers my friend read on his phone from other hobbyists ranged from mild comments of how indiscreet she was, to blowing up her phone with curse words and angry statements.
The moral of the story. If you send mass texts, you may wanna re consider send individual texts. Yes its more tedious, but you won't lose business that way lol. Also, on the same note, remember if youre a provider; this is the job. dont be lazy sending mass texts because you dont wanna contact people individually. it can seriously backfire and hurt one's rep.

Hobby emails and hobby phones. I have received group texts and group emails from providers. While it didn't harm me, it was interesting what I found out and could easily be used to harm or blackmail other hobbyists. Besides thinking the provider was very indiscrete in sending those out, what was even more shocking. is how many hobbyists use their real emails and phone numbers. Simple google checks let me find out a lot of info on some fellow hobbyists after a group email/text. I just did it out of curiosity, but others could easily use such info for the wrong purposes. The number of guys emailing from their company/government/institutional emails is amazing.
For providers: Don't group text clients. If doing mass emails, use bcc.
If that's an example of a subtle mistake, I'd hate to be involved in your idea of a major one.

And those are not TER acronyms! I got an email from a well known provider (with all 9/10 reviews) who sent it out to 50+ clients and did it via "CC" rather than "BCC". Okay, everyone makes mistakes, but...
there were MANY work emails in the list! Like [email protected], etc.
Guys! Do better. People make mistakes, so protect yourselves.
BTW, even funnier were the CLIENTS responses sent via "reply all" with many choice words for the provider!
