TER servers are in the Netherlands...

where prostitution is not illegal.  However, murder, assault & etc are.  Now, US LE probably has better ways to crack a case than getting a warrant served in a foreign country, it is possible in serious felony cases.

Unless you or a client are a high value target...  LE has limited resources and plenty of providers to go after.

LE is not going to devote a lot of resources for a minor bust.   The stings that do happen are slam-dunk cases...  one of the people in the room is LE.  It's not YOU, so be as sure as possible the person you open the door to is NOT.

So I don't wanna be one of those people who posts an exceedingly wordy and paranoid scenario about LE and covering my tracks.

My male friend, who knows I'm a provider, was telling me about people subpoena-ing (sp?) sites like this, P411 etc...and also how LE could find me by my IP (I mean I know LE found the CL killer this way, but I somehow don't think people would bother finding my exact location unless I were involved in something horrible, versus my day to day work)

I told him this site has a disclaimer as being entertainment, like free speech, incidents didn't actually happen per se etc.... Let's face it, we all know some reviews are over the top or even fictional at times.

So my question, to get to the point, is under what circumstances would LE bother me? I'm not a girl who is an easy target for LE by not screening, nor am I a girl who charges such outrageous rates, my greediness puts me under someone's radar. So, while I realize LE could have resources to identify me and find me posting to TER at my apartment or whatever, under what circumstances would they give a crap or bother, unless something extreme happened? Which I'm hoping it won't!

Their servers are located in the Netherlands, so that isn't going to happen.

For LE to make a case, they pretty much have to catch you by luring you to their hotel room and getting the goods on you.

Just do careful screening and you should be OK.

Where outcall sex work is legal......I am not a lawyer, but I imagine it would be difficult (but not impossible)  to get Canadian courts to issue a warrant for this information.  I think LE would go after softer targets, like all the BP newbie's that dont screen at all.

LE doesn't need to go to TER, P411 or other escort malls to get your IP. If they get you to respond to an email they can trace you back to your IP address. Assuming you're at home using COMCAST, Verizon FIOS or something similar then your IP address changes every so often. LE would have to go to your internet service provider to translate an IP into a physical address or named user account. As this is basic account info this may or may not require a warrant - I am not an expert on lawful intercept law.

This doesn't give them any electronic content, which definitely requires a warrant. This is highly unlikely unless you are a large (think recent agency that was busted last year) or other high value target because of the associated costs.

In general, you're pretty safe. Though I would avoid any specific details in emails or other stored electronic media (text messages) that associate $$$ for specific acts. Those emails all transit servers somewhere in the US and they could be subpoenaed (such as gmail). Even with a client you know/trust, the information can potentially be used to build a case.

For the ultimately paranoid, take your laptop to someplace with free wifi that doesn't require a login to do your online work. If you can find a pre-paid smartphone you can use that, and if it allows tethering (to your laptop, all the better. If I were this worried, I would get a cheap netbook that I would only use for hobby activity and would only do so from some place with free wifi.

All this is pretty meaningless, though. IMO, as a lone escort, 99.95% of your risk is opening the door.

...your open discussion of money laundering, paying people under the table, paying all your bills in cash, and being paid to be a "good lay", when connected with you in the event some unfortunate event takes place is, in my mind, unnecessarily filling LE's quivers with arrows.

Yeah...point taken. But I'm not sure what to write about on my blog half the time. I hear guys love to get horny reading blogs, but I usually keep mine pretty PG to PG-13, because I figured going into great sexual detail there versus HERE was a bad idea. Like I saw a TER thread "provider blogs" where a gent asked the crowd if they are worth reading. One guy responded "____'s blog has gotten me off every day this week."
How can I tactfully talk about sex more on the blog without coming off as a blatant prostitute?

the other stuff that's NOT steamy out of it.  You need to decide what the blog is for.  Currently it's the inane ramblings of a hooker who's either inundated with cash or strapped for it.  That certainly doesn't get ME off.  To be quite honest, I read it weekly, but only because it's one of those mini-disasters that I can't keep my eyes off, like watching a plane tumble out of the sky...you CAN'T look away.

However, on the other hand, if you relived some of your favorite escort moments in a discreet way (in terms of "outing" who they're with), and take it to R or XXX-rated, THAT would both give gents insight into your sexual appetite, and probably drive some business your way.

Just MHO, but reading about your financial situation, your money laundering, and your low opinion of TER guys who can't afford to see you, is a TOTAL turn-off, and I have to believe it drives away more business than it generates.  You come across as cold and ONLY in search of cash.  For MY $450 I want a lady who's doing this because she LOVES the adventure in seeing men and the sexual opportunities it opens for them---in other words, ladies who are living THEIR fantas.

Telling about how a recent gent touched your clit with his tongue in just the perfect way while his finger was on your G-spot, and it sent you over the moon and back with orgasm---THAT'S what a guy wants to read, and WHO he wants to meet.

Read a couple stories of Bailey B. Johnson out of Atlanta....THIS is the kind of stuff that turns ME on, and I think that, at least in these terms, I represent a fair average of the population.

Then again, it's YOUR blog.  It's obvious that you're a VERY BRIGHT young woman.  With your writing skills you could have us dialing your number WHILE WE READ.

My point is that you're ALREADY making it blatant that you're a prostitute.  It couldn't be any clearer if you actually named the blog "I'm a prostitute".

Ditch ALL talk of money changing hands and steam the crowd up with sex.  I think we all know you're having it.

You say I have writing skills, yet you call me blog a trainwreck you can't look away from, I'm at a breaking point where I just wanna quit for a couple months, regroup, rethink my marketing and literally start from scratch using another name.

"quit" for a couple of months insofar as I didn't advertise or go seeking for new clients; I accepted the regulars I'd already garnered but I wasn't particularly active. However, during that two-month hiatus, I rethought everything I was doing - including marketing and what kind of client I wanted to see and so on.

I "came back" with the same name and stronger marketing than ever.

Also, good businesses do that all the time, too. They're always testing their marketing, always rearranging what they want to do. They don't change their name, they just change their way of marketing and how they do business.

Take time off if you want to.

Yeah, I'm working on it...I plan to make Blog V. 2.0 way more fun and naughty and less bitchy (don't believe me stay tuned guys...)

I wish people had been a little less vicious with their comments, CONSTRUCTIVE criticism is better than "stick it to me as hard as you can and throw salt in the wound" criticism. But whatever. I'm upset because I self consciously self sabotaged; I'm a newbie, have only worked since January, and have to learn some things the hard way. Sometimes I blogged about things like money because things like paying all my bills in cash and having a debit card shut down for advertising on backpage were hiccups I experienced as a beginner. So were the ups and downs of this feast and famine venture, such as dealing with snow storm cancellations.

I'm not trying to "quit" I'm just trying to think things over. I have established regulars I'd happily see whenever and I'm getting enough new inquiries from people who haven't seen my blog at all or don't mind the content of my now deleted blog as much.

Clearly, some people here smelled blood and it became a feeding frenzy of defaming me. I thought the criticism was awfully harsh considering I'm new and haven't quite figured out what I'm doing yet, but I"m not about to become a TER board martyr, so stay tuned for my new blog posts, people. I got horny writing my first one last night and had to stop and masturbate.

That's HOT.

My comments were intended as brutally candid, not abuse.

I hope all turns out well.

Im totally re launching myself in a a different country etc and it's hard but im sure it will be worth it in the end. If you feel you need some time out honey then take it.... your gut feeling is usually right and if that is what you need then you'll feel much better for it when you come back. Im going to be in the same boat soon enough as things seem to run alot differntly there than in the UK so im trying to do as much research as possible and then hopefully i can land with a bang, lol. Good luck with whatever you end up doing and don't worry about the critisisms maybe it's just what you needed and you'll always be critisiesd by somebody no matter what you do but the same goes that no matter how good or how right you are about something theres always sometthing new that you can learn

Hugs Casey :-) xx
