I just posted in the general discussion room, and realized right away I had made a major blunder in the way I phrased something.  Is there a way to delete or reword a post between the time you send it in and when it makes it to the discussion board?

Click on your post and you should see an edit
button.

You can't delete a post but you can just erase
the body and place "delete (eom)" in the title.

person's handle. You can also self delete your post by first editing it, removing everthing and putting the word deleted in the title. A saner route is to read and think about what you are writing before posting it. All of us make mistakes. Unless you write something that is unjustly inflammatory or is derogatory toward a person, ethnic group, religion, gender or race people here will generally cut you some slack.

But since you are a newbie and post may not be approved immediately, live with your decision and let is slide or contact the moderator of the board to request it be deleted as stilltryin said.

Good, I thought better about my rant about gays, Jews, African-Americans, Canadians, republicans, democrats, immigrants, Dukies, vegetarians, and smokers.  Now I can edit everything out except the part about those arrogant Duke alumni!
