There is a wealth of info in there that you can read. Take couple of days to read and absorb the info. Then once you have done your homework, come back and ask us some specific questions you may have relevant to your individual situation.

So, I was told to join by a Client of mine... But I'm not sure exactly how TER works.

Any advice, gentlemen?
As far as Ads, Reviews, etc.

3000 miles away from me... good luck anyway :-)

The newbie board is for asking questions, as you have... good start, and as you have been told, the self-help center has a wealth of info for you.

You can post Ads on the Ad boards, one per week. There is no Oregon board, so I guess "Other Cities"? Someone with more knowledge of the area than me may post another option

You can post sexual/hobby related questions and discussion points on the General Board, or your cloesest Regional Board if it is local in nature (browse these boards for a while to get a sense of how they work)

There are other general boards for some specific items (for instance transsexual, porn star, over 60, meet & greet, etc).

Once you have established a "posting presence", there is a "providers only" board where you girls can share dirty details about us guys :-)

Have fun!

There is a Portland board. It is for Portland, Oregon and not Portland, Maine. :)
Even if she is not in Portland, she will get more results there than the "Other cities" board.
Unfortunately, the Portland discussion board is pretty dead, But there are ads in the Portland ad boards and reviews for the area. There are are other more popular hobby boards (which can't be mentioned here) that cover the area.

Requires a "posting presense" AND a minimum of 3 reviews. :)

which Curly pointed out, read back on this board a bunch of pages. Also use the search feature at the top of the board to search for specific topics. Feel free to come back and ask newbie questions. Many here are happy to help, but you will also find that most questions have already been asked and answered if you read and search. :)

When reading the, self help manual, pay particular attention to the "provider ad posting guidelines." You can advertise free on TER, but they have requirements you need to follow. (one ad per 7 days, proper ad board, proper links, etc. All the info is in the guidelines).

Feel free to post on the regional discussion boards or general discussion boards to get yourself known. Careful on the GD. They play rough there:)

Do you have reviews here already? You might without even knowing it. Go to the reviews tab, then search. Search your name, phone number, email, etc. or any previous ones you may have used. If you find you have a review profile, contact admin (using the "contact us" button) and ask them to link your reviews to your username. Once you do that, every time you post on a board, a link to your reviews will appear by your name. It will also get you free provider VIP. The provider VIP allows you to use PMs and read your own reviews. If you want full VIP (which allows you to read everyone's reviews and gives access to more search features) then you have to pay.

If you don't already have reviews, the first person to write a review for you (perhaps your client who pointed you here) will set your profile. Then you can ask Admin for the link to your username and you can also correct your profile if there are innacuracies.

Welcome aboard and Good Luck. :)
