Sorry, can't discuss it here--it's a secret code

I notice on other boards (Haven't seen it here) that sometimes people discuss pricing. However, they do it in a strange way. For example its .2 or .6 or $ or $$ or $.2.

I am guessing a dollar sign means 100 but why do they not just type out the value? Is there an actual reason for this lingo?

Just kidding. I think there was a time when it was believed that putting prices in code could fool cops looking on. I doubt if it ever worked, and yet some geniuses still use it. The same goes for the scheme of describing sex with providers as "dreaming".

"Four roses" or "Four kisses."  Ain't fooling anybody.  Or protecting anybody.

No matter how it is coded, it is not a secret. There are bigger precautions to take other than how the amount is listed :)

The fact that a rate is posted for her time, no matter what she is calling it or how she is coding it, is enough to not even need the "How much?" discussion to cause a problem in some cases. That discussion happened in the ad as far as some LE is concerned, so don't even think you are protected by not mentioning, talking about, or her not touching the "donation" either (or putting it in an envelop!).

Nothing takes the place of good old-fashioned screening/research on either side.
