Simon Gift Card Visa

I've used a Simon Gift Card Visa at least 3 times to buy VIP credits.  

You buy the card with cash, then go to
http://www.simon.com/giftcard/
and then register the card with a fake name, fake address, fake e-mail address.

Then, buy VIP credits on TER using the same fake name and fake address.

The only way they can trace you back is by IP address.  

If you just want to avoid the SO finding out, this procedure works and is sufficient.

I am new but have been reading this newbie board for some time now. I am not sure which anonymous prepaid card to try and use so I am going to send of money order. I did try searching subject of prepard or greendot card but nothing comes up. Anyway, just thought I start out with my first hello to the ter world and hope to be an official member soon.

TER will only accept a CC where you have to show ID to get it.  That is on account of age issues (no one under 18, in other words.)

Money orders will work, but take a long time as I recall.

This sounded like a great idea, so I followed it to a T- got a Simon gift card Visa, registered it, then tried the TER purchase with the same registration info. It keeps getting declined. Any idea what the problem could be?

So I did the same thing and it kept getting declined too. So I called up the number on the back of the card and after a few minutes the Customer Rep said they changed the Rules/Regs for the card in August so that it can't be used internationally anymore (nice of them not to update the booklet w/fine print that comes with the card). He could just be pulling my leg, but it makes sense as to why it's being rejected. Guess there's no way to get VIP with a gift card anymore...

thx for info decrin....I just did the same thing. Tried both the Simon's Visa (registered) and A.A. card and got declined. I tried three times on the visa and then got automatically sent to a segpay website to try instead of the cc bill and still got declined. Thankfully, I can use the gift cards buying presents at the mall. I guess now we have no choice but to use money order unless we can find an international accepted gift card. If I anybody knows of one, please let us know and I will do the same.
