Hi! I am a total newbie to this and I found out that both agencies and independents all asks for references from other providers for verification. Since I am a first timer, I can't provide any reference from providers which they require. So what is your first time experience and what is the right way to do this? Thanks a lot!

But you will need to get verified via P411, etc.  Scroll down and read some newbie threads here.....all the information is there.

You do not necessarily have to join P411, but it is a good idea. Some may ask for work info, others may offer to meet you for coffee, but you will compensate them for their time. And there are other techiniques as well. My suggestion is to learn how to do a search (by subject) on TER. So you can familiarize yourself with screening also learning to use the search feature will keep you from asking the typical newbie questions. Remember also to set the search at more than 30 days, I usually do 360.

Very different...

An Asian agency will take whatever, but you will never get a reference out of them, and good luck finding a GFE session. You are also guaranteed not to get the girl in the photos.

Join P411. Its a verification site. There are plenty of ladies that advertise there that will take on Newbies based solely on Gina's verification's. Then you can start building references from there.

They call and ask for you or dial your extension. This is the method I use since I'm new too. They will say they are a friend etc.

There not going to ask your employer anything. She will call and ask for you. If the secretary or whoever answers the phone asks them who is calling, she will say, "Its Mary from John Does's (i.e. you) doctors office." When the call is put thru to you, usually she will just hang up as that is all she needs. Some like to call after work hours and listen to your voice mail. Its not as scary as it sounds and you can work this all out with the girl before hand so you know what her method is. Just make sure its a well reviewed, experienced girl who knows what shes doing. They do it often and they are good at it. Good luck!

Thanks for the clarification. Can you from your experience how long the provider will let you know if you have passed their screening?

If you don't have refs, I don't accept a vouch from a third party site. I want to be the one screening you if I can't talk to another lady you have seen. Other ladies do things differently. Some even check ID, which I never understood because once you open the door, it is a bit late.
