What is the proper lead time expected to make an appt. with a provider?  I have my eye on a specific lady from an agency and I have about a 3 day window during which I'll be in her city.  How far in advance do I call?

I have made arrangements up to two months in advance and then I touch base every few weeks with them and also a few days before hand.


It lets the provider know that you are serious and ensures that she will see you.

Of course every now and then "shit happens" and she backs out for some personal reason, but over the long run, it works better than calling a few hours before hand and seeing if they are availiable.

Depends on the demand of the lady as well as my work schedule.  I'll schedule some ladies weeks ahead if I know my schedule is firm.  Sometimes I can only give 48-72 hours notice.

If you already know when you are going to be there, I would schedule as soon as possible and check back a few days before to let her know you are serious.

and ask to be penciled in, and ask when they would like you to confirm... when traveling, it is best to schedule early and often (oops... sorry, from Chicago where we vote early and often).  But really, also have a couple of ladies for backup in mind, just in case.

I prefer that a gentleman schedules way in advance
And it is better for YOU so not to leave it to the last minute

call as soon as you know your schedule. if it is weeks or months in advance, use email to periodically confirm.
do a follow up phone call on the day of your appt.
