I think it's a good idea to do that. That way, your reference will be expecting an email, and will know that it is safe to tell the new lady that she has seen you before.

I am new to this hobby and so far have only seen one provider, there are other providers in my area that request references. If I am going to use the provider I have seen as a reference should I ask her first? Thanks, I appreciate any info that anyone can share.

some ladies who don't want there email addy and cell # flying around in cyberspace and some just don't want to be bothered

Good reasons to write a review:
You had a great time with a lady, and...
   1) You have something add that hasn't written before.
   2) She is new, or new to your area, and you want to help her attract business.
   3) It was the most fantastic time you've ever had, and you've just got to tell someone, (it's not like you can tell your friends what you did last night).

Or, you had such a bad experience; you want to warn other hobbyists.

Better reasons not to write a review (even though I’ve personally violated some of these):
1) You want to improve your rep, street cred, etc., by showing who, or how many ladies you’ve been with.
2) The only purpose of your review is to obtain, or extend your TER VIP membership.
3) The only reason for writing the review is because the lady asked you to.  Providers know that most reviews are positive, and it is free advertising for them.  But think about what might happen if you write an honest review that doesn’t meet her expectation or needs, it could really screw up future references.
4) The lady asks you not to, (some ladies truly do not like being reviewed, and honoring her wishes may help her in the future).
5) The lady is so special; you want to keep her to yourself.

Some other things to remember:
1) Don’t write reviews until you’ve seen three or four providers, so that you are able to set your own standards.
2) Discretion and selectivity are important.  The TER reviews are full of the “me too” and “look what I did” variety.  If your review is to be useful to others, it must add something or someone new.
3) When you do write a review, be HONEST!!!

Finally, to answer your question about asking to review, I sometimes raise this question, sometimes during the session, but in most cases in a follow-up email, and generally follow her requests.

Hope this helps.

"5) The lady is so special; you want to keep her to yourself."

That is fine and dandy but when she has asked and could use the extra business from the review since she is already low volume you are not really supporting her needs, just justifying your own. There are many review boards, not just this forum.

"...If you write an honest review that doesn’t meet her expectation or needs, it could really screw up future references." If a lady will not give you a reference because of a bad review, that is not the girl for you. Think about it. She obviously doesn't have your best interests at heart.

Michelle, I added this as a bit of a bad joke.  Recently on my home board there has been mention of an OTR lady known only by the select and elite hobbyists (ones who are able to consitantly meet a woman's financial needs, unlike myself).

Trust me, I understnd my relationship with all of the ladies I've met, and only wish them the best, and hope that when I choose to review, helps them and hobbyists alike, and would, and never haver have, pursued this tactic.

What is an "OTR lady?"  Is that a truck driver who escorts in the town she drives into on her run?

Or are you trying to say UTR, or Under The Radar?

Here is what happened to me. I saw provider z after being verified. I told provider z about a popular client verification service.  Provider z joined the service. I joined the service and used provider z as a reference. I saw provider z 3 times. I used provider z 2 times for a reference no problem. I saw some other providers (w, x, y). I used them as references for the service. Then I wanted to see provider k. I told provider k that I was a member of the service. I thought that my reference details where in the service. Nope they are not, the providers have to contact each provider who has seen you in the system. Providers w and x gave back good referenes. Provider y never responded. Provider z caused alot of drama because I was willing to pay more for provider k than provider z. Both providers z and k decided to take the drama to the public message boards. This type of drama put a bad taste in my mouth for the reference system. I was not expecting so bad behaviour because I spent alot of money and time with provider z and also taught provider z about references.

Now I understand why so many guys don't like the services, why they use fake identifies, and only their board handles for verfication and not their real names. Behaviour like I decribed above puts the hobby in great danger. I am not the first hobbyist to have these type of problems. There have been providers that I would like to see but I won't see because they require references. I won't do the references because of potential drama problems. There needs to be a system in place where potential clients can find the providers who will give out references without the drama.

The hobby should be about fun and enjoyment not grief and drama.
