A cursory survey of the hobbyists here will reveal a demographic of 40+ year old men who feel as you do. Most of the successful and perennial providers are 30+ and through their sage are unlikely to have more than a belly button piercing.
Rather than insult a provider in their personal choice of accessorizing; their profiles depict whether or not they have piercing(s) or tattoos. Make your conclusions from the profile's information rather than subtly debase someone’s free expression.

I am not into body piercings such as nipple, vagina, lips and eyebrows, etc.  I doubt that the holes would close if they were taken out for an hour, but I have been told that some, once in are very difficult to reinsert.  Is this something a provider might have a problem doing?  Would asking the lady on the phone or in email if she would remove her piercings before the encounter be going too far since it would imply that I intend to see her naked?

the hole left behind would probably be more revolting than if the stud were left in place.

My nipples are pierced, and on a few ocassions gentlemen have asked me in their initial contact if I would mind "leaving the hardware behind" before our meeting. In each case, I have been more than happy to acommodate their request. I find that my rings tend to invite alot of curiosity and comments, and most gentlemen react positively to them. However, just as some men like blondes while other prefer brunettes, pierced nipples aren't necessarily every man's cup of tea. There is nothing wrong with asking a lady to acommodate your preferences.

PS. To MrFisher, actually when my rings are out, you can only see the holes if you know where to look. Of course, I have never worn anything but 14 guage rings (fairly small). Since alot of ladies prefer 12 guage, perhaps their larger piercings would be more clearly visible. Furthermore, there once was a third piercing that accompanied my nip rings. I took that ring out nearly a year ago, and though many a man has ventured in areas where the ring once was, not one has ever been the wiser that a piercing was once there (even though the hole is still open).

I was reacting to a favorite of mine who had a navel ring for a couple of years and then removed it as they were tired of it and it left behind a rather ugly scar.  She is fairly dark skinned, so perhaps that is part of the problem.
