Interacting with the TER site.

There are three ways to submit and/or track
various requests made to TER.  Number (1) below
is only available on the new TER site.  Number
(2) and (3) are not new but many are unaware of
them.

1.  New TER has a feedback feature where
submitted feedback is acknowledged/tracked/acted
upon by TER staff.

Go to "Info & Policies" at the top of the new TER
site. TER has five separate categories of
feedback that you can submit - Membership
Inquiry, Review Questions, Other Questions,
Suggestion Box, Report a Tech Issue.

Although TER has always had these ways to submit
requests, the new site allows you to track these
requests using the "My Feedback" feature on the
Account Manager page. The Account Manager can be
accessed at the top of the page. The feedback
feature lists the category of the request, TER
response text, and the status of the request.  It
also allows the user to reply to TER's feedback.

I recently submittied five separate bugs in the
new TER's chat software.  They were fixed within
days!  I had previously submitted them via email
many months ago and had never heard back about
them.  When submitting techinical issues, please
remember to include the operating system and
browser you are using.  For example, Windows XP
and Internet Explorer.  Without these two key
pieces of information, the request is almost
useless.

2. Problem reports are not new but are the
preferred way to correct issues with a specific
review or a provider's profile.  You submit them
by clicking on the problem report button on a
provider's profile or on a specific review. Just
type in a text description of the issue and hit
submit.  Anyone can submit a problem report. You
can track their status under "My Problem
Reports" on the Account Manager page.  Approved
problem reports gain the reporter 2 VIP days.

3.  Also under the Account Manager, you can track
the status of submitted reviews under "My
Reviews".  This is not a new feature but some
people are not aware of it.  I've seen many
people complain on the discussion boards that
their review never went up after x number of
days.  They are unaware that it was marked
"unapproved" for some reason and has been sitting
there waiting for them to correct it and resubmit
it.
