Even with well-reviewed providers, it is important to take precautions. Never talk about money. When you arrive at the room for an incall, have the money already in an envelope in your pocket. I usually discretely take out the envelope shortly after I arrive, while talking about something else. I casually put it on a desk or table. I don't mention it, I don't even look at it. If she comes to your place, have the envelope out and visible. The provider will appreciate this behavior too, since they always have to be concerned that maybe it's you who are LE.

It's best to have the "what do you like?" conversation, if at all, after both people have "gotten comfortable."

Some beforehand research and some discrete and alert behavior in the room will greatly reduce risk.
