If anyone calls your work place, they will use an innocent question, like verifying a doctor's appt.  All she wants to know is if you really do work there.  Once she knows that, she will hang up.

I am newbie with no reference. As far as screening is concerned, is it easier to setup general screening sites like P411, or is it easier to see a couple of providers first (I am thinking P411 screening is automatically done with a couple of provider's references)?

Having someone to call my employer sounds a little headache, and my goal is to minimize the number of times of such verification.

Any thoughts?

The verification process was harmless, completely UTR as far as the calling at work issue. There are (depending on your area) usually newbie friendly providers on 411 that will advertise as such. Do all your research first of course but then see a few of them and ask if you can use them as references for future providers.

The way to get the least interaction with work is probably P441 first, seek newbie friendly providers there from, then ask them for provider verification to make your plus one or two status for those that require it.

I was fortunate enough to have a provider graciously invite me to P411 immediately after our date, then receive my second OK from a provider I had already seen.

From what I have heard, having P411 verify you cold is not too painful, and carefully executed.

When they talk about calling your employer, I believe they do so thusly:  They call a main number or switchboard asking for you, you answer and they hang up.  Any inquiry as to the nature of the call is usually met with "doctor's or dentist's office" or something of similar ambiguity.  You may even be able to let P411 know how they should respond (you know, in case you are a dentist yourself)

This is based on other comments I have seen here.  I've never had this type of call verify, so I could be wrong.

After you see enough girls, you will have girls who will vouch for you and serve as references.

The way you are going about it is like buying stuff you have coupons for instead of buying what you want and seeing then if you have coupons.
