When you use a TER feature such as "Find Message" on any of the discussion boards or any of the fields that you can actually enter something into on the VIP search form (Providers name, email and so forth) whatever you enter is then saved, for lack of a better word. Sorry, i don't know the correct term for it.

But everytime after that if you double click on that box it drops down a list of everything you've ever entered there before. Names, numbers, emails, whatever the field may be.

Does anyone know how to clear all those?? There must be a way to do so but i'm to stupid to be able to figure it out.

Thanks, Snow

I believe this is actually a feature on your computer and not on TER. The newer versions of Windows and a number of spam blocking softwares offer a 'form filling' feature. They remember where you added information on a page and offer to fill back in with what you have enetered before.

What version of windows are you using? Do you have any of the form filling softwares installed, ie: Yahoo and Google Taskbars?

If I am wrong about this, please let me know.

I have XP with Internet Explorer.

You must be right about the form filling. I looked at some other sites i've used in the past for ordering things, Amazon and the like, and get the same results from those forms also.

I don't have any of the toolbars loaded, but i'm not what you would call computer literate either. Dumping files, history, defragging and all that didn't get rid of it.

No biggie really, i'm not worried about someone finding any of it, just becomes a nuisance after awhile and until you mentioned that i thought it was only here on TER.

Thanks.

Top of your browser window click on EDIT

At the bottom of that dropdown menu
Click on PREFERENCES
a new window opens

Click on the + next to Privacy & Security click on FORMS uncheck the box

If your using MSIE I don't know what to tell you other than don't (weg)

Under the menu Tools -> Internet Options..., go to the Content
tab.  There's an Auto Complete... button that has everything
you need.

Didn't even know that existed.  Learn something new everyday.
I guess that feature is not turned on by default.
