Did you call the Provider as you mentioned in your original post...? Did your Doctor tell you that you definately contacted it from BBBJ... with no other possibilities? I would love to know exactly what he said. Was this a well known, reviewed Provider. The problem I have with this kind of post, is that there is so much we DON"T know about you, if you are married, if your SO has been with someone else that you knew nothing about. Whhether this would have developed, had you not seen this provider...??? To many unknowns, to get hysterical against BBBJ....Peace, Robyn

Of course this is a hobby with its obvious dangers... I was wondering if any TER members have caught STD's from providers reviewed here, and if so, have they then informed those necessary so that no other members need to experience these same ailments. Just wondering the reality side of these fantasies.

Yes to your first question.

Not certain who is referred to by informing those necessary.  You will find that few hobby goers, if any will publicly name names. It would be very hard to be 100% certain as well.

I'm referring to the providers themselves and their agencies they work for. I assume that the providers wouldn't knowingly want to spread disease and therefore should be told.

Thanks for your candor.

Not from anyone that is reviewed here.

It was about 11 years ago from a BBBJ. I told her. As far as her telling her other clients. I have no idea if she did the right thing..

No other risky behaviour at that time. And once I contacted the provider, she confirmed that she tested positive also.

I am also quite confused about you. You claim to be a sex surrogate or some sort of sex pyschiatrist, or some such thing, yet you don't seem to have any information about how STD's are passed. Or you refuse to believe that STD's can be contracted through a BBBJ. While some of your posts are quite informative, your posts about STD's come off as not well thought out. I am not trying to start a flame war here, I was just wondering how you could get clients in your Psych. surrogate, business when you don't seem to possess the basic knowledge of how and where STD's are contracted.

You question my credentials..????WHY...BECAUSE YOU DON'T AGREE WITH ME..??? Before being on TER..I never advertised any of my services. As a Therapist, my appointments were all from referrals. A Physicians referral service I might add. I still have many Doctors, Lab.Techs, Pharmicists..etc. that have been regulars for years...Never a health issue and many clients have been referred over the years. I never said "Nothing could be contacted through BBBJ...What I asked you was, "How do you know that's where it came from" simple question...I didn't attack you...Yet you attacked me...Humm??  Now, if you were going to tell the whole truth instead of trying to scare the hell out of folks, you would also include the fact that a VERY VERY small percentage could ever be infected this way and that there is a much larger chance of contacting an STD or infection through a cut in your finger, while finger banging an infected Provider....Now, Because you may not believe that, and I do..Does that make you uninformed or irresponsible...??? So now, do we agree to disagree , start handing out surgical gloves along with condoms for BJ's or get educated and pay attention..?? Nothing Personal, unlike you....Peace, Robyn

Robyn,

I am sorry but, I will not debate these issues with you. IMO you seem to have a closed mind. I have stated facts in the past and backed them up. When you have been asked to do so, you stated the propaganda you read wasn't reliable enough, and I agree.

Nothing personal.................

I actually started this thread before ever starting this hobby and ironically it seems to be a self-fulfilling prophecy. My first time ever with a provider was last week, 2-20-03. Two days later it burns when I urinate! You might ask what did you do? Well to list it: BBBJ, DATY and doggy with protection. I ended up testing positive for something called NGU. Luckily, antibiotics can cure it, and I still won't find out if I have anything else until 10 days from now. So, can you catch anything orally? The answer is yes. And the solution is to be covered always, even for DATY. What are the odds of a first-timer getting something?  I don't know, but maybe I should by a lottery ticket while I'm at it. Good luck and please be safe.

Yes, I did call the Agency to tell them to talk to the provider so she could get checked. Still waiting on results of that. My SO of eleven years was out of town for 2 weeks. And the symptoms appear within 2-10 days.  I wore protection for everything else, and yes, I know how to use condoms properly. There was no contact of genitals without protection, not even grinding. So by process of elimination, it was the oral sex. Sad but true. If my provider comes back clean, then I'll just have to believe in spontaneous generation. Or that just leaves masterbation and dirty thoughts are the cause. After sitting in that clinic for hours, and listening to this woman lecture about STD's and the possibility of this type of infection sitting in the warm, dark, moist area of your throat, it doesn't seem that far fetched. Seems like a great breeding ground for bacteria, much like that other fertile area below the waist. Let's not get hysterical, let's be safe.

"What is GNU???"

GNU is Not Unix..  (a little geek humor for the Linux crowd).

He actually mentioned NGU which you can find info on here:
http://www.laglc.org/std/STD02.15.htm

This link mentions oral sex as one of the possible ways of infection, and apparently it's caused by chlamydia, herpes or trichomonas.

Thanks Sharptongue. That's really helpful, and I've had STD experience before in my youthful crazy days. Got warts on the inside of my penis. Now that's a fun removal process! I'm heading towars my first encounter with a providor next week. I will definitely opt for safe all around.
