I don't think there a documented case of getting HIV from DATY. BBBJ risk is primarily bacterial, but herpes I is a possibility.  See the attached chart.  Check the medhelp STD forum and read read read.  Links are plentiful if you do searches.

Isn't BBBJ and DATY dangerous for possible HIV/STD? Is this somehow not a problem for providers/clients? It seems like alot of risk or is there something I don't know here? I always thought any fluid exchange was really dangerous. Call me stupid, but I see alot of it here. I guess you roll the dice and take the chance. Thoughts?

Do you or any of your friends ride motorcycles? Without helments? It just feels better. Is it riskier? yes. Is it worth the risk? that is a personal question that can only be answered by you my man. You pose a question that is one for the ages. If you want you could ask the lady, I am assuming here that it is a lady, to please use a condom. You could ask her to gargle with listerene, although that can have a slight burning sensation as well as a numbing effect, but I like it like that, grin. You could ask her to gargle with boiling water. The fact is is that BBBJ's are wonderful and STDs are not. You may turn the provider off if she is prepared to offer BBBJ and you ask her to use a condom. You may also make her night because she may be worried that if she does not offer BBBJs she may not be able to pay the rent and your asking her to use one may lead to the most erotic night of your life. She may feel as though if you are that careful that you must be super clean and out goes all of her inhibitions and bingo you two are in love....lol. Your best bet is to simply talk to the lady about your concerns. Ask her, have an open line of communication. You two are about to share your bodies with one another so open up and share a piece of your mind as well. Just talk with her you will get a sense and you both will then make a better decision. This stuff can give you the jitters especially at first but just employ the Golden Rule, relax and have some fun.

One key thing you need to do is separate HIV from other STDs, because they behave differently.

HIV is a relatively fragile virus, and dies quickly when it's not in a 'friendly' environment.  Some studies have shown no HIV in saliva, so according to those studies HIV shouldn't be transmitable from the "sucker" to the "suckee" in oral sex.  Going in the other direction, unless the "sucker" has open sores in their mouth (bleeding gums, canker sores), then HIV doesn't have a way to enter their bloodstream and it will be destroyed by the stomach.

There are some other studies that dispute this state of events, however the majority of studies support it.

Now, there are lots of other STDs.  Some of them are caused by hardier bugs, and others are transmittable through the skin.  For example, Herpes can be transmitted by kissing....if you're willing to kiss someone with a sore on their lips.

Basically, BBBJ/DATY does have some risks, but many of those who do it have looked into the risks and decided it's worth the risk with certain safeguards, such as looking pretty closely at the area for sores and getting tested (and treated) for the realtively 'benign' STDs like chlamydia and ghonorrea.

They aren't as dangerous as asking this question again.  It has been covered time and time again.  The "search messages" button at the top of the page of message headers is your friend!
