A heads up from the gentleman that so-and-so will be contacting me for a reference is nice, but not required. It never hurts to ask a lady if she'll vouch for you, though.
I will gladly give a reference for anyone I've seen within the past six months or so. It doesn't matter if I only met him once or if I met him 20 times. However, I will likely give a stronger reference for someone I know well. "He was nice" vs. "OMG he's my favorite".
I need to know at minimum: Her name Her email address or phone number (whichever contact method she prefers) The last time you met
I know most ladies now ask for references from guys they have not seen before. What is the proper etiquette for requesting a reference from a provider? Ask for permission? Just give the name & number? Does it need to be someone you have seen many times or do most providers keep phone number records that they can refer to?EOM
I usually ask at the end of a session if she would mind if I use her as a reference. I've never been turned down. I usually refer a prospective date to a lady I've seen in the last 3 or 4 months and mention something about the date that will help the reference remember me.
I really appreciate when the gent has asked the lady he wants to use as a reference if it is okay first. That way she is on the look out for the reference request and also if it is okay to use her as a reference not every lady gives references.Maybe looking at her website will give you more insight into her reference policy. I will give a reference for a gent that I have seen before as long as he was nice and respectful but I do appreciate a heads up.Also,a helpful hint would be to include with the reference request something that will jog the memory of the lady you are using as a reference. Good luck!

I usually ask for permission at the end of a session. I always have a few names I know I can give out without having to confirm for each instance. Some who I've seen only once but recently.
Providers may only ask for name and contact info, but I also try to give at least the reference's website, Date-Check/P411 link, city and when we last met. Another reason those simpleminded forms don't work.
gonna piggyback on this topic, sorry, but im new to all these. what if you don't have a reference because you havent done something like this before and have no contact to provide? how do you get started? i mean, everyone has to start somewhere right? who will understand that im not trying to lie to get past reference but actually give me a shot?
Your question has been asked numerous times. Do a search by topic or scroll back a number of pages on this board. You should be able to locate threads about your question. There are screening/reference sites like P411 or date check that may work for you.
are newbie friendly, and there are many out there. The suggestion to join one of the verification sites is also a good idea. Check around in your area to see which one(s) are most popular, it does vary from location to location. A lifetime membership to Datecheck is only $125, a good deal. I belong to DC as well as Preferred411. RoomService2000 is the third popular site.
I've never had anyone ask if they can use me as a reference at the end of a session, yet I get reference requests all the time. I always answer them as soon as I get them (or see them, if I get one when I'm asleep or busy).
I use Google voice and email, so I search the number or email address to verify that I have seen the guy. I don't keep "records" or have a client list. It's not a smart thing to do, but some girls do.
That would just be downright silly for providers to agree that getting references is paramount for our safety and then have qualms about being one! That doesn't even make sense.
Use the last provider you saw as your reference for the next one and don't even worry about it.
Some guys give me four or five references! They are almost always the most recent providers they've seen.
The real issue is when the providers hate each other and the guy is unknowingly in the middle of a cat fight. Or if the reference is mutual ATFs (All Time Favorites) with the client (meaning the client is the provider's favorite, too) and she might be jealous that her regular is trying someone new.
