You can get a disease from eating at a resturant, are you going to quit eating out? You can get killed driving a car, are you going to stop driving? There are risks in every thing you do in life. If you are that scared of STD's, don't hobby. Just my 2 cents.
Has anyone ever had any problems with bacterial infections, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea or other. I think it is always possible to get these, even if you rub up against a providor accidently before the condom is on. I hear these are very common. I don't know what the reality is though. If you have a story to tell that would be nice. Thanks.
Don't get me wrong. STDs are out there and we all gotta practice common sense, but with the endless posts of manic concern by Newbs on this topic I'm wondering how ANY of us vets are still around seeing that there are so many ways to have your dick explode, vagina cave in, or face erupt in a mass of oozing sores from this seemingly endless list of diseases and ways to get em'
Well thank you both for those words, that's the experience I wanted, and was hoping, to hear. But you know a lot of STDs, like herpes 1 and 2, and hepatitis B,C often don't produce a physical problems in many. You almost need to get checked to know if you have them. I suspect that the number for herpes I (50-80%) and herpes II (20%) are overblown, but doctors still quote these numbers.

I am not at all proud of this. Over 35 years I often had unprotected sex with providers in three countries, including the USA. They were all working bars. I tried to pick the older, professionals who had been around the block, thinking they were more likely to take care of themselves. Looking back, it was not worth the agony of wondering if I would catch something.
The only times I thought that I'd caught something was getting a BJ from a SW in SFO (false alarm). More recently I got a real urinary tract infection, probably from a BBBJ. Strangely, while that was true, the doctor also discovered that I had prostate cancer when running tests. Incidently, I've readthat older men get HIV oftener than other groups, becuase our penises do not get hard enough to use condoms. Not sure if that is true or not.
Thanks for those words of wisdom. It is nice to hear from someone that experienced with these types of things. I worry even though I do everything protected, I probably worry too much.
